Ultra Sharp Diamond Sharpening Stone (2-sided) 8 x 3 - Coarse and Extra Fine Grits

This stone and holder are top notch products, as soon as I received this set I knew I made the right choice. Right away, the weight of this stone is much more than any stone I’ve ever owned, the holder is heavy as well and keeps the stone in place easily on any flat surface. The stone itself is a joy to use and cuts very quickly and is a breeze to keep clean. Just make sure you take an old whetstone and some water and break in your new diamond stone by using it to flatten your old whetstone. There’s instructions on a few other ways to break the stone in that comes with it. They recommended diluted krud kutter as lube and so far that’s been working wonderfully. I love this stone and now all my knives are sharper than ever sad all I use is both sides of this stone and maybe a strop if I want to. Buy it you’ll love it

I just got the stand. I am returning it in hopes that this was a packing mistake, and have requested a replacement. The stand is nice though :)Update - I got the replacement and it had the stone and stand. I think people may be taking the stone and returning the stand for a full refund. Then the next person is just getting the stand. I got the stone and stand in the replacement order, both of which are high quality and I am very satisfied.

I'm very happy with this stone as it really does perform well, in fact better than I hopedddddddddd. A lot of product promise so much and I have questioned for some time 'do I really need this'..well, it looks like it was the missing piece in my sharpening arsenal.Where I noticed it most is with my modern hard steels on the chef knives, these made the job of returning the edge so much easier, faster and sharper that I could not stop sharpener every knife I had, and then it was onto my chizels...the ultra flat surface was amazing and it doesn't wear grooves like a traditional stone.Also being wider and longer than my other stones again made it easier as I wasn't need to sharpen longer blade. The combo was a great first stone to see/judge there Grit ratings and I think they are perfect.Good value, good product

Seems well made and is nice and hefty. I'm only leaving 4 stars for now because I have not used it enough yet. Pretty happy so far.

This is a very well made two sided diamond bench plate with a good holder. Works well to sharpen all kinds of blade steel . I would recommend this to anyone looking for a well made , versatile bench stone.

Have enjoyed sharpening things for many years and have only recently purchased this tool for some of the larger knives we have in our kitchen. Great instructions for "breaking in" the plate and for proper sharpening technique. Love the rubber feet and duel rod tightening function of this design. Very quick and simple to flip or swap plates, and it stays put as you do your sharpening.The results for this kit speak for themselves. Should have purchased one of these years ago! Very happy with the product and the results.If your on the fence due to price, don't hesitate, pull the trigger on this one. You will never be sorry that you added one of these, and if it is your first sharpener, I would dare to say that it will be the only one your will ever need.

Wonderful sharpening stone and fantastic customer service.Purchased this last year and I've sharpened many chisels and plane knives and it still works great and the price really can't be beat.These plates are deceivingly heavy like a few pounds and the large working surface is great for using honing guides. Not having any experience with diamond stones I decided to give these "Ultra Sharp" stones a try because they were cheaper than the competition but I'm extremely happy with the product and ultimately the service I received. They work so much better/faster than my old whetstones.When I purchased this item last year I had a minor defect in the surface of the coarse side where it was missing a small strip of diamond coating (like 1/16" wide by two inches diagonally) but it really didn't cause any problems. I ended up contacting the seller because I had some concerns/questions about tiny rust spots that were developing and what was the best way to prevent it. Upon seeing the minor imperfections in the pictures I had sent the seller offered to send me a replacement even though they didn't bother me, I was mostly interested in learning how to properly use/care for the stones. Seller was extremely helpful and I received a perfect stone a few days later and haven't had any issues since.If my stones ever stop working as well as they currently do, I would have no hesitation in purchasing this item again.

First few minutes works good after that is smoother and doesn’t cut off the material from knife and discoloured, very disappointed not much different with cheap diamond plate.
