Best value for money, hands. down.
Bought this is 2014 and both my brother and have used it for many home project. We oil it every use. This model is discontinued, but Wen has a new version that is still amazingly priced. I would say they are dumping them on the market, but they've been priced this way and performing great for at least 10 years. If you need a basic brad nailer for home projects, this is what you are looking for.

A well-built tool that provides great value for money
This is the first brad nailer I've used, and some of the comments may be more applicable to the brad nailers in general and not to the Wen unit in particular. The Wen nailer is a sturdy and well-built unit that provides great value for the price; it retails for less than half the price of competitors and performs very well, within the limitations described below.Positives: + Sturdy and well-built unit + Works very well, with some minor annoyances Negatives: - 18 gauge brad nails provide very little holding power - Nails are sometimes not driven straight. Instead, they follow a curved path through the wood, resulting in an even weaker hold. This may be an issue with the specific brad nails I used (Senco) and not the nailer. - Very occasionally, two nails are fired together when the trigger is pressed. - The knob that is supposed to provide depth adjustment has little effect. I could not get the position of the nail to change even a little between the two extreme positions of the dial. Many of the points raised in the review below may be obvious to experienced users of brad nailers, but they were new to me and may be of use to other folks who are also new to the tool. The one big surprise was how little holding power a brad nail has. Each 18-gauge brad nail is a thin thing that can be easily bent between finger & thumb. As such, it can withstand very little pressure. Sideways `shearing' force can easily distort the fit of a joint that is held in place by a correctly driven brad nail. Furthermore, two pieces of wood held together with a brad nail can be effortlessly pulled apart. This means that brad nails should provide only a supplementary hold and not be the main source of strength for a joint. If you are gluing two pieces of wood together and want to provide a way for the pieces to be held firm against each other till the glue dries, a brad nail can come in handy. The other thing is that brad nails are not necessarily driven in straight through the wood. Depending on the constituency of the wood, the nail bends to follow a path of least resistance and could take a curved path through the stock! This would further reduce the holding power. The problem is particularly exacerbated when you are trying to punch in through hard stock. I believe these problems are common to all nailers and not limited to this Wen unit. I'm pretty happy with the build, quality and functionality of the unit.

Great gun. Extras and instructions....not so much.
Im not very versed in the all tools world. I know a pretty decent amount, and am learning more and more as I go. So when I ordered this I didnt realize I needed an air compressor as well. I assumed it was an all electric model. Shame on me for not ready every single word posted on every inch of the page. :/Instead of sending it back and buying an all electric model, I figured I would just suck it up and get an air compressor since I could use it for many other things (air brushing, dusting, tires,...). After hearing how low the pancake compressors (porter and were, I decided I wanted something more quiet. I winded up going with the Husky Silent Flow as it offered more air output than the Senco (4 gal vs 1). Its definitely not as portable as the Senco, but its an awesome compressor.Back to the gun....I cant say as much for the case it comes in as the one case clamp broke as soon as I opened it, but the gun itsefl works great! Just installed some crown mouding above my kitchen cabinets pretty easily. I didnt have to many issues with the nails not fully driving into the wood. And for the ones that did, I used my Spring Tools nail setter. The only gripe is the instructions are kinda wonky. Also, it needs to be oiled. Not sure if all nail guns need to be oiled, but it wasnt specific to how much or how often in the manual. Also ,the provided oil seems to be in open once, open always container. I have no where to store the oil as I cant put it back in the case open. It will spill everywhere.I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to the extras, but the gun itself is awesome and I recommend.

Don't wait like I did, this is a must-own tool for any DIYer.
Always wanted one of these since I got an air compressor and had to try it after the overwhelmingly positive reviews here combined with it's scary low price.18g 1.5" Hitachi brads worked awesome on the 3/8ths Pine stops used on our new replacement windows and 1/2" MDF baseboard trim in a bathroom. This gun likes pressure around 55psi (out of the box). I didn't mess with the pressure on the gun, but rather set it on the compressor. I did try to mess around with the depth wheel but it's not very sensitive, 3 scrolls to the left or right didn't seem to have an impact on the depth, but when you start to go 6 or more scrolls it starts to change. For my 1.5" brads it was basically good to go out of the box. Speaking of the box..It was nice to get a case for a tool like this, comes with oil, a basic manual and some hex wrenches. I shot a 50 stack of nails this weekend and I never had a hiccup.I was concerned about the lack of padding on the safety switch but it only lightly marked 3 shots in total out of 50, the rest were flawless (user error perhaps?).This thing is fun to use as a do-it-yourself, weekend warrior. The ability to fire a nail with one hand and hold with the other is a game changer. I breezed through my installs and didn't have to worry about chipping up my trim or dealing with weak nails. This gun is also light weight and very well balanced. This is a must-buy based on the price alone, their is a ton of value here. It feels and operates like a substantial tool and it can really speed up the time spent on projects. My only hope is this tool lasts a while. I take care of my stuff, but if it ever goes bad I'd defiantly order another.

Another excellent tool from Wen
This is the fourth Wen product that I've bought. I've been very happy with the quality of their tools. They're possibly not as good as the Yellow brand but they're significantly cheaper, and hence align better with my tool budget. I'm reasonably happy with this Brad Nailer. I shot about 100 nails using it, and there wasn't a jam. My only complaint with the tool leading to a reduction of 1 star is simply that I had trouble adjusting the depth of the nail. No matter what I tried - lower PSI; using the depth adjustment; etc. - I couldn't seem to get the depth adjuster to make a significant change to the depth the nail was driven. Nevertheless, the tool worked as advertised, and the depth it drove the nails was just slightly deeper than I would like.

Great deal, recommended.
Used this for a small job finishing up some trim in my bedroom. Does everything just as well as the only other brad nailer I have ever used (can't remember brand of top of my head, but it was green). This one even has a dial on it where you can adjust nail depth. Don't remember the nailer I borrowed from work having that feature. Also tested it out on a scrap piece of that cheap MDF trim, you know that stuff where if you are using a hammer and nail, you have to pre-drill holes first as you will just bend a bunch of nails if you try hammering through it, and it put a 2" nail through just fine. Would definetly save a lot of time when working with any type of wood, particularily MDF. Worth the $44 I paid for it again for sure. Definetly recommend this item. I had no jams or misfires in the 1 hour job I have used it for thus far.

Highly recommended
Since this item arrived in a well packaged box with bubble wrap and it was unwrapped for use, I’ve used it on 2 occasions.I’ve restapled door trimming and wall trim.I wasn’t aware this gun is a right hand loader, so I had a difficult time figuring out where the staples loaded in the magazine, but once I had that figured out it was an easy lock and load.I oiled the needed parts; oil comes with the package. There were no air leaks from the gun coupler so it was a simple plug and play. This is a very simple nailer to use and I highly recommend it.

This is the AK-47 of brad nailers.
This is the AK47 of brad nailers. Cheap and reliable! I have shot over 4000 2" nails through this in the past couple weeks and only had 1 jam! Took 10 seconds to clear. Used cheap mastercraft nails too. Used outdoors and in rain with no issues at all. Oil 2-3 drops before each day of use and shes run like a dream. Why pay 2-3 times as much for a "name brand" nailer that probably wont out perform this one.
