These blades are great! They stay sharp!
Most snap off blades are cheap steel and don’t stay sharp. These Olfa blades stay remarkably sharp for a surprisingly long time. I don’t know what is special about them, but I will always buy this brand!!!

An incredible utility knife hands down!
I have tried several brands of these. Some cheaper ones are just dangerous with their locking device failing and causing the blade to not lock in place. Also, some are all almost entirely plastic except for the blade and locking clip. This model is 100% Japanese made by Olfa and is exceptional. It's amazing how excited you can get over a retractable knife. The metal housing that's embedded down the entire center of the unit makes it ridged and the non-slip gripping material on the handle is great. There's no bulky locking nut at the tip of the housing to interfere with your work. And the locking mechanism on this model has never failed on me. This is the best model I have ever used. Thank you Olfa and Amazon.

Knife is more slippery than the older version, possibly different material but same shape.The image is correct, but the title is misleading. 8 spare blades are in the plastic container. 80 is the number of cutting edges (10/blade).

these OFLA snap blade knifes have the unique ability to flex along surfaces and slide under things to cut them free. And they're Really sharp!

Read the Listing CAREFULLY!! You get 8 Replacement Blades
One of the most deceptive listings. Describes you will get 80 blades. Only if you read the listing carefully will you know you are getting only 8. Seller falsely claims a segment of one blade is a blade. No other seller or Olfa try’s this claim. A blade is a blade with 10 segments in it. And the last 2 are not accessible as they are used to hold blade in place. I’m a carpenter have used Olfa for many years, love them. Don’t love this deceptive listing. Returned mine and bought 100 replacement blades.

Pros: sharp, well madeCons: tightening knob makes it a 2-handed operation. For 1 or 2 boxes, it’s very inefficient. For large jobs, get a fixed blade knife.
