This is a book I would really suggest anybody should buy if interested in French pastry classics. It is written in simple language and the basic pastry recipes are here all together. I liked it very much . Anybody can follow and make these recipes. (French Pastries and Desserts by Lenôtre: 200 Classic Recipes Revised and Updated)

This book is not for beginners/novices at all.Especially, those pages in the Glazes, Decorations, and related to the laminated pastry (like croissants...).However, It is a comprehensive and inspiring French Pastries book for those who in the advanced level and in the professional field.

I love Lenotre (the shop) where I go when i'm in Paris/Cannes. The food is delicious.Haven't got round trying any of these recipes, but Gaston Lenotre is a very famed chef and I'm excited to try these recipes when I get the chance.

Great pastry book by an expert in the field. Book arrived promptly, packaged well and not damaged which is pleasing.

I am a new baker - unable to comment much on the recipes.I wish it has more photographs for bakers to visualise the recipes without additional googling - this would be especially helpful for new bakers who are not familiar with the wide spectrum of bakes.Book was nicely cling-wrapped to protect the heavy book.
