Lots of info spoiled by bad writing and gratuitous editorial interjections
The best I can say about this book is that it gives a fairly straight forward history of Nova Scotia. Unfortunately, the writing is not great and the author has an annoying habit of interjecting the narrative with his opinions and asides (even using the first person on a few occasions). He also uses modern colloquialisms - eg. Such and such “and his buddies” — which I found grating. I suspect there are better histories of Nova Scotia. I wish I had done a bit more research before I bought this.
