Not thrilled with it.
I've eaten a lot of sushi over the past 20 years, all over the nation, some of it made by top sushi masters in the country that cost a small fortune, as well as hole-in-the-wall, cheaper places, so I think I can judge the quality of ingredients pretty well. I'm an excellent cook in many ethnic cuisines, everything I eat at home I make from scratch, and I don't skimp on the quality and variety of my ingredients. You won't find another home-chef who's got more ingredients, herbs, and spices in their kitchen cupboards, for more types of cuisines and a wider variety of dishes, in all of Iowa! I'm not a native Iowan, I spent most of my adult life in NorCal, and I traveled all over the country on business, for years. A lot of people here think anything beyond salt, pepper, and Walmart soy sauce are "exotic", they're terrified of anything new or different, and if a dish doesn't contain bacon, isn't deep-fried, and doesn't have half a pound of cheese on top of it, they won't eat it! Artichokes, Brussel sprouts, and, you guessed it, sushi, are the probably the most-feared foods of all, to 95% of the state's population! So, I was making out my Subscribe and Save order and sushi nori was on my list. I was looking for quality, authenticity, country of origin/source, and a larger quantity pkg, and I ended up choosing this brand/item. I read the comments on all of the products I decide to buy, and I think they were so-so on this one. I should have paid attention to that.Honestly, I don't like this nori, and I won't buy it again. The reason is, it's tough and rubbery, becomes soggy when other brands don't, I'm not fond of the flavor compared to other brands, and the mouthfeel sucks. I'm being honest and this isn't a fake review. I don't like throwing out a package this large, throwing away the $ I spent on it, but I probably will when I get past my habitual reluctance to doing that. Maybe I'll just give it to my daughter and buy a different brand in my next S&S order. She doesn't shop on Amazon, she won't see my not-so-thrilled-with-it review, and I'll just say I have more than I need for myself, so I'm "sharing" it.

I overpaid! Go to international grocer . . . .
I purchased this product online because I'm learning how to make sushi and the organic part appealed to me. While I imagine it is a terrific product (I haven't received it yet), I found packages of 100 sheets of Nori seaweed (not organic) for about $2-5 at the local international grocery store. I can't remember the exact price, but it was very cheap and twice as many sheets. I paid over $20 here on Amazon for this product, not including shipping. I live in Southern Illinois near a large college, so perhaps every place does not have an international grocery store, but I would check into it before purchasing the things you need to make sushi. I found the books on making sushi cheaper on ebay, and the rice vinegar was one third of the price at my local Kroger grocery store. I also found the hot chili sauce at Kroger for very little as well. The Japanese mayo (Kewpie) I found at the international grocery store as well for a fraction of the cheapest asking price on Amazon. While I love Amazon, and oftentimes find things cheaper here, I learned the hard way that I should have shopped around.

Not the Best Flavor or Texture
I'm not surprised that groceries cost more to have shipped than to pick up at one's local store, so I wasn't deterred by that.I have been making a lot of sushi lately, so I got 50-sheet packs each of Sound Sea Vegetables nori and Sushi Chef nori. I have to say I find the Sound Sea Vegetables nori to have a fishier taste, but what I really dislike is its rubbery texture when moistened by the rice, which makes it unpleasantly chewy and even hard to cut.In my opinion, which is not that of an expert or purist, the Sushi Chef nori Sushi Chef Nori, 50-Count, 4.5-Ounce Toasted Seaweed Sheets has a far more pleasant flavor and delicate texture that does not overwhelm the flavor of the filling or make it too chewy to enjoy.Yes it is quite a bit more expensive, but good eating should not have to be unpleasant.

This stuff is a great sushi wrapper!
I have 2 different types of sushi rollers. One kind you pack, and press a second half to "mold" the roll. My other one rolls the sushi when you pull a sheet from it. The wrapper work great with either type of sushi maker.

i love it
great taste texture and value. Much cheaper than health food stores and supermarkets. The texture may be too chewy for some but I like it.

Organic Nori -- in bulk!
I eat nori instead of wheat wraps for sandwich type items. This is the best price I have found for Organic nori. My kids eat nori as well, and this does not have any sweet or smokey flavor. Great pure NORI! Thanks.

Very Tastey
I have had other brands, but this one is the best for flavor, quality and price. I use it as an alternative for bread. I fill it with tuna, uncured cold cuts, scrambled eggs...
