UPVC Plastic Trim 45mm x 1m - White Architrave Skirting Board/Window Finishing Trim

I only needed a short (slightly less than 1M length) of skirting to box in the base of our one-sided shower tray in a downstairs cloak room. Our shower tray is quite raised due to a concrete floor and 40 year old plumbing styles so over the years have needed a cover to fill/cover the gap between the bottom of the shower tray and the floor. This small 1 metre length was spot on. I didn’t want huge lengths or packs, so this was a great purchase being able to buy a small length for £6.00. Came with peel-off plastic protector on the white glossy outer side and the seller wrapped it in very stiff cardboard to protect it in transit. Arrived in perfect condition. Got to be honest it didn’t quite look like the photo when it arrived. It looked much slimmer and not as curved at the top….but to be honest I can’t get too excited about a short length of skirting board. I needed a UPVC style because of the damp wet environment of our shower room. This was very easy to cut to size with a junior hacksaw as the rough edges removed with a bit of fine sandpaper then silicone sealed into place. Voila job done for just £6.00 which will last for years and years…..like our old one did until it perished, went brittle and discoloured and broke with old age. See pics. Lovely good quality skirting and a great price considering the post of an item like this would have been at least £3:20 as a small parcel. Very happy with my purchase. Would recommend and likely very good as traditional skirting which would be maintenance free and easily wiped clean. 10/10 from me for product and the seller.

The Virtual Plastics uPVC 45mm wide finishing trim has a foam core and a hard plastic decorative surface, with one edge bull-nose and one square. It can be joined with the usual plumbing cement; take great care with this, especially when removing surplus cement because the solvent in this will permanently mark the decorative surface or trap any dust or dust drawn onto it by the static charge of the uPVC. It does not come with any double sided tape, just as well because my past experiences of using d/s tape on an emulsion painted surface were never satisfactory. I used stainless panel pins to fix it in place to timber behind the plasterboard because I knew they would be hidden by an LED lighting extrusion fixed on top.

Easy to to cut for required length and easy to stick to with no nails to any surface.
