It's great but.....
This is not my first time ordering an EagleTec product. My first EagleTec keyboard is backlit in blue with minimal lighting configurations. The keys are very responsive and "clicky". This keyboard, KG050-BR RGB Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, is what I wanted originally. Granted the keys are not as "clicky" as the previous mentioned keyboard, but the keys are very responsive and less noisy due to the use of brown switches. Construction seems very durable, being made with aluminum, and has a very nice aesthetic. It functions very well and it is not as clunky as the previous mentioned keyboard. However, I am slightly disappointed at the lack of a "true" user guide. What I received was a mere piece of paper claiming to be a user's guide with a total lack of any descriptive on "how" to use the keys that control the color and lighting settings for this keyboard. I actually had to go online to find a PDF file that describes in detail and photos how to use the RGB functionality of this keyboard. Despite this, I completely enjoy this keyboard and would more than likely buy it again if I needed to. Now let me describe my "interactions" with Amazon during this order. My original order quickly became "undeliverable" and a refund was going to be issued. My concern with this is the fact I was never given a reason why it was deemed "undeliverable". During my conversation with customer support it was relayed to me that the package had been damaged during shipping. It would have been nice to know this. However, this particular Amazon customer support rep went above and beyond to see if a refund get be issued immediately. We discussed options and a Gift Card was issued to my account in the amount of the "full" refund within a few hours, and I was able to turn around and re-order this item. A tremendous thank you to that Customer Service Rep. The delivery however, was lackluster. I received an email sometime after the delivery that contained a photo the delivery person took of my item on the floor outside my door. I would never have known it had been delivered if it wasn't for the fact I logged in to Amazon and saw that my order had been delivered. Otherwise I might not have known it was there until I had to go somewhere and opened my door and saw it on the ground. There were three people in the living room, and they were completely unaware of this delivery as the delivery person never bothered to knock on my door. How about practice common courtesy and knock. The package shows quite clearly the contents of the package. On my initial order I requested Amazon packaging but apparently that did not translate to my re-order at all. Overall, I am happy with the product and I would recommend to friends who are into PC's like I am. Amazon, please instruct your delivery personnel to knock on the door before they simply leave a package at my door for any passer-by to take.

Awesome
This is my first mechanical keyboard and I got it to learn touch typing. It's not light, but it isn't very heavy or bulky in any way either so I could see being able to carry this around if it's in a case. It should probably be kept in a case anyway because the keycaps come off very easily (I keep it in the box it was packaged in). The RGB versions have a lot of colors and lighting modes. The switches are what I would expect from brown switches. They make some "click clack" noises (but aren't overly loud like blue switches) and they give a lot more tactile feedback than a normal membrane keyboard. If you don't know what the different switches feel like, I would suggest buying a switch tester first; most mechanical keyboards sold seem to use blue switches. So far, I am very happy with this keyboard and hope it lasts long.-Edit (2023): I still have this keyboard and it still works well. I learned touch typing on it and it very much helped me pass my classes and graduate school by typing up assignments quickly. I would still recommend it.
