I have used general hydroponics trio for YEARS now and honestly, I have exactly ZERO intent on changing that. These, if you do things right on your end, will provide you with nice looking plants that grow really well while looking nice and healthy. DO NOT FEED EVERY WEEK. Water, water, water, feed SHOULD be your "schedule" and whatever week that feed lands on is what you feed. The GH feeding charts are accurate tho. For your money, you just cannot go wrong with the GH trio. Make sure to also grab some Calmag and some sort of Mag-sulph, like Botanicares' Sweet series. You'll need them during your grow....
