She's done it again!
Alice Winters has done it again! Just when I think I can't love Leland and Jackson more than I already do, she gives us this, The Hitman's Guide to Tying the Knot Without Getting Shot. From the title alone I knew we were in for the good stuff, I just didn't know how good! There are laughs galore, enough sweetness and love to cause Leland major suffering, and plenty of action, adventure, and suspense to keep your heart pounding. And there may have even been a tear or 2 shed, as well. This book was full of surprises, and one in particular might have actually been the highlight of this book for me- there were some literal laugh out loud moments for sure!I think it's safe to say The Hitman's Guide #3 is my favorite of the series so far. I love how much these 2 love each other, so much! I adore the way Leland would do absolutely anything to keep Jackson safe, and we really get to see that in this book. And Jackson would do anything for Leland as well. It makes my chest feel all tingly when I read the parts where they're thinking about each other. This book has everything we've come to love about these characters, on just a deeper level. I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading about Leland, Jackson, Henry, Cassell, and even Jerebear. I don't know what's in store next, but I will be here for it!

Wonderfully absurd story!
This is yet another great addition to the series! It is important to read all of these books in order for full enjoyment. I love how ridiculous the things which come spouting out of Leland’s mouth are. How this writer thinks up so many absurd things I’ll never know. The vows at the end were just perfect. I’m really hoping that there is a book four for Cassel and Jeremy. Overall, two enthusiastic thumbs up!The following quotes are just a couple of the many, many humorous moments in the book:“I honestly didn’t mean to slingshot an edible bra into your eye.”“We’re about to go to a secret location to shoot up a bunch of people and you’re worried about the legalities of stealing a sign from a dirt road? Jackson, I love your priorities. Please, my love, when we finish here, we’re taking the sign.” It was no longer even a question.

little sweet, little sexy, lot of funny!
This is such a fun series. I just love Leland and wish I new someone so fun to be around. This could really be a great series for any of the many streaming services. This is going into my 2022 favorites!

fav series by the author
I’ve noticed in some series by Alice Winters, the level of ridiculousness and absurdity is so inappropriately placed, with so many filler and fluff scenes, that it becomes boring and annoying and I skim. In this series, I genuinely laughed so hard I cried multiple times and had to pause to breathe. Maybe Leland is just my type of humor, but truly, this series is really well done. The action, the romance, the humor, the fun side characters—all amazing, no complaints. (Gay Stephanie Plum?)

Mine at last!
After reading it so many times in KU, I finally got the opportunity to buy it, so I did it! After reading everything the author has written, I can tell you this book 3 is amazing. As always, the complex and interesting plot, hilarious situations and the funny banter between the characters, (or between Leland and everyone else) kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. I enjoyed a lot the emotional story, full of heartwarming moments, in between action and danger and of course all the weird romance and kinky hot scenes between Leland and Jackson. What I love the most was how much Leland and Jackson love each other, and in this book this part became much more serious making me cry and sigh a lot because I was truly overwhelmed by the deeply feelings between them. I am without words, so I'll just finish my comment telling you... WOW! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

One of my favorites
This is the third book in The Hitman’s Guide series and I have loved each one. In this one I was laughing so hard in the golf course scene I had to take a break. Loved it!

Wish I could give 10 stars to this series.
READ THIS SERIES IN ORDER! DO NOT START WITH THIS BOOK!There was a part of this book near the end that had me laughing so hard I could barely stop.I will review this series because I do not want to give anything away about this book. This is one of the funniest and sweetest series I have ever read. Yes, I said that even with all of the mayhem and gun worshiping in these stories. The characters are some of my favorites ever. I wish this was a cable series because that is the only way these characters could be as written. They are multi-faceted characters that I don't want to say goodbye forever. I will miss them.Author, Alice Winters, creates stories that are entertaining yet have emotional underpinning that touched one's heart. It is always a pleasure to read such a well written and imaginative book.

Getting tired of Leland's insecurity
This author is good at her writing and I'm a big fan of her other series Vampire Related Crimes. I am actually a fan of this series as well and I wanted to give this a five star, but I"m getting tired of Leland's over the top silliness. The back story the author has given him would definitely be the source of insecurity for anyone, but half of the time his comebacks and banter don't make a lot of sense and can be quite cruel, even to Jackson. I hate the way he treats Henry (after all in his very early career he did kill Henry's friend by mistake). Leland and Jackson (who has the patience of Job) are very good together (you would think the insecurity would lessen since their relationship is solid) and, when Jackson was shot, Leland's terror and grief seemed very real. I like Leland best when he IS real. The stupid one liners are wearing and I skip over much of them. The main story and mystery were quite good and the villain was a surprise and I will definitely keep reading the series but I wish the author would tone it down a bit so the books are more comfortable to read.

Hidden pasts
With Leland and Jackson getting ready to get married of course things cannot go perfectly smooth. In fact, things with the wedding keep getting put on hold as someone seems to be really trying to kill Jackson. Whether it is in revenge on Leland or something specific to Jackson isn't clear, but it brings up some major fears but also some big progress.Leland has built up an unconventional family of soon to be in-laws as well as sort of straight former associates, but he still thinks he's alone at times. With Jackson in trouble his first thought is going off alone and it takes support to show that not only is that not needed but will not work as well as leaning on his family.Jackson has to confront his own fears with death and loss. Jackson knows that with their ages, he will likely die first. Being confronted with the possibility of that death so head on scares Leland, and it scares Jackson for what it would do to the man he loves. Trying to make sure that Leland knows there is more to life than just them, that he could go on, is a hard thing to do.Overall the story really dug into some new material that hasn't been touched in the past yet and it was fascinating. Always great to learn more about these characters while also seeing how they have changed in the present day. Another fantastic book!

So good!
This book 3 is simply amazing. As with the previous books in the series, the interesting plot, hilarious situations and the funny banter between the characters, (or between Leland and everyone else) kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time. I enjoyed a lot the emotional story, full of heartwarming moments, in between action and danger and of course all the weird romance and kinky hot scenes between Leland and Jackson. However, even if in books 1 and 2 we could witness again and again how much Leland and Jackson love each other, in this book besides the funny parts, it got more serious making me cried a lot because I was truly overwhelmed by the deeply feelings between them. I don't want to spoil anything but WOW! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Awesome
The emotions in the first part of the book are heart wrenching. You truly feel the emotions the characters go through.Jackson and Leland are such and awesome duo. There’s such action and then humour it gives you a real ride. With Alice’s writing and Michael’s performance and delivery it really is a winning combination Alice has such a wicked sense of humour. You never know what she’s going to have her characters say next. Michael is able to have such distinct different voices for each of the characters it is really incredible. What I especially love is how Alice makes up new word. “Horrigusted”This was a brilliant edition to the series. The mischief and mayhem that happens to these characters keep you on the edge of your seat.
