Non-stick Mat Pad [5 Fun Colors] - Silicone Rolling Baking Pastry Placemat Large Round 9.5" - (Value Pack - Set of 5)

I began using the rectangular silicon baking mat when I first learned of them a couple of years ago. I absolutely fell in love with them… no more greasing baking sheets, pie crust dough does not stick on them. I even cool meatballs slathered in catsup-based coatings, and gooey cookies…. No sticking. They were easy to clean and last forever. I almost cut some of them into rounds, but I didn’t think that I could get them the standard diameters. (or round even!) When I saw these round mats, I was ecstatic (get a life, huh?). I immediately bought them. Then I thought of another use for them. I bake my own bread and rolls. My family almost begged me to quit baking because I “don’t knead” well. Anyway, I started making No Knead breads. The dough is rather sticky and not at all firm, so it does not hold its shape well (it flattens out and is too thin to make sandwiches or toast unless you make it in a loaf pan, which I got tired of doing. So, I started baking the bread in a metal bowl (8 cup is nice). But, I still needed to grease the bowl to get the bread out in one piece. Ah ha!. I decided to slit the rounds (see picture 1) and then it sort of fanned out and fit perfectly in the bowl. (picture 2) I also like to bake in a dutch oven, and the bowl fits perfectly in the standard size. As a rule, the bread does not rise above the round, but I do put some grease above where the top ends. Then I can cover the dutch oven, shove it into the oven to bake. The baked bread just slides out. It is great for making tall round sour dough bread. I just add some water to the bottom of the dutch oven, put the bowl of dough in, bake it covered for awhile and then uncovered. Another nice thing about it is that I can mix the dough in a bowl, transfer it to the bowl with the round and let it do its rising and then bake. I don’t have to worry about it deflating when I try to put it in a container after it has risen. All in all, I find these rounds to be essential in my kitchen because I am kind of lazy and don’t like to clean or spend a lot of time cooking. I hope this has been useful for you!

I'm loving these! I bought them for flour tortilla making. Rather than rolling out the dough into a circle or using a press, i manually press out the dough onto the mat with oiled fingers, then flip it over onto the hot griddle to cook. Works like a dream.

Great quality Mat for my microwaveI wanted a mat so when I put my mug or a dish on the turntable that is glass it would not clank and this mat works great for that keeps my microwave turntable clean the mat itself is very easy to cleanbonus it keeps whatever I put in my microwave from siding around items stay where they shouldplus it’s colorful and I will use the others as pan liners so it definitely was a win win

I purchased these for use with an induction cooktop. A silicone mat provides a non-slip surface and also protects the glass cooktop from scratches. These mats are quite grippy and easily stay in-place. They provide a non-slip surface to put pots & pans on, look fantastic and the 9.5" width is ideal.

These work ok. I use them between the induction stovetop and pan and they do discolor to a brown but overall I am pleased.

I purchased these to use under pots and pans on my induction cooktop and am very happy with the results. I use very heavy steel cookware so have to be careful not to scratch the surface or even break it and the silicone gives some protection against both with no impact on the cooking ability of the stove. I have used them for this purpose for a year and it is possible to burn them to the point of discoloration but you almost have to work at it.

We use these on an induction stove top to prevent scratching of the glass top. They are not damaged by the heat. They don't discolour. They don't mark the stove top. They would do for a larger pot size since they will keep the pot from contacting the glass stove top outside the pad diameter. There is no difference in the heating ability of the stove with the added thickness of the pad. This was a great investment in the protection of the stove top.

Muy buena calidad, me ha servido mucho y ya no tengo que preocuparme por panes pegados en el molde, solo engrasó un poco las paredes del molde pero el fondo no lo necesita cuando utilizo el tapete de silicon, lo he utilizado unas 10 veces y sigue funcionando perfecto.

Bought these to use on top of our new induction range. They keep the pots and pans from moving when stirring things and protects the top of range from getting scratched.
