Nearly Perfect
I got this subscription because of its shockingly low price and because I wanted to simply have something that gave me ideas for my wardrobe and gave me new insights. This completely fullfilled what I wanted. While the fashions displayed are a above my price range the magazine puts good ideas together and has interesting stories and interviews. I just wished it was longer or that they published bi-monthly.

Best Chill Day Escape Read Ever...
I love this mag. It is a compilation of all things relevant to the modern muse. It has relateable fashion, hair and makeup articles that can actually be utilized in the real world, always an enlightening article on a female issue somewhere in the world, as well as other pertinent articles. I am still Old School and actually enjoy holding a real mag, while I peruse over a warm beverage or glass of wine. Yup, I still tear pages out to refer back to. If you are looking for an all around great mag with various content, this is your baby.

Just what I was looking for!
Finally a magazine that combines thought provoking articles with fashion. I have been on the hunt for just such a magazine. I just got my first issue and if the rest live up to this one I will be a very satisfied customer. Last year I tried In Style and Lucky. This year Marie Claire and Harper's Bazaar. So far so good!

Pass The Stupid, Please
I love fashion, so I have to keep up with my magazines. However, the last issue of Marie Claire was the bloody limit. The magazine has morphed into the classic trifecta of women's magazine articles: relationships, self-flagellation, and exposes/fear factor stories. Marie Claire ups the ante by having the hubris to declare social justice a topic (hence, this issues's three-page pictorial about rural Brazilian prostitutes). Don't forget aspirational articles about entitled multi-millionare businesswomen (look in their purses!), as well as a puzzling juxtaposition of articles about plastic surgery/eating disorders, etc. followed by an article on what 800-calorie diet is the next best thing, or the latest cosmetic surgery procedures that will change your life. Their nod to "real women" is a pictorial usually quizzing college students across the country "What is your best feature?" ...and you can hear and see how Jade from Ottumwa, Iowa, loves her freckles and perfect bicuspids. Fashion has taken a severe back seat, there are very few articles about the fashion industry or designers. The fashion pictorials are uninteresting and many are straight-from the runway shots haphazardly curated throughout the magazine. Slap a female celebrity on the cover, and you're good to go. A bubbling cauldron of self-loathing, greed, envy and aspirational desperation awaits you- dig in!

I love thiis Magazine
I love this magazine. I am able to get it a such a low cost and that is wonderful for me. I tried it for 6 months and loved it for the style it has. I can see what the latest styles are and how to wear them. That way I do not look like a fool and I can still look up to date. Thank you Amazon

No problem with services, but the magazine is just okay
I had no problems with the amazon magazine subscription services. I bought this when it was $5 for a year and I was looking for a new women's magazine. It's not a bad buy for $5 but I'm not sure I would pay anything more for a year of Marie Claire. It's not as strong as other women's magazines. It has potential and it was genius of MC to hook up with Project Runway (that is why I bought it). But... frankly, Nina Garcia's fashion editing is not great. The fashion layouts in the first issue I received might have been the ugliest clothes I have ever seen. I was looking at outfits featured in her spreads thinking, "If a designer did this on PR, they would be torn apart." I do like the focus on some world issues. Additionally, as a slightly bigger girl (i.e. a size 14 instead of a 2, which I don't think is huge at all, but in fashion it is!) I do appreciate the "Big Girl in a Skinny World" column. But I wish they wouldn't confine curvy girls to one little page. Glamour does a MUCH better job at incorporating curvy women throughout the entire magazine. Marie Claire makes me feel like I only deserve to be featured in one column. I worry that some of the models they choose for their magazine are not accurate representations of the majority of women. If you are looking for a well-rounded women's magazine I'd go with Glamour or Real Simple instead.

What are you waiting for???
It is more than a magazine. A work of art, truly progressing to a new level each year; a touch of class which reminds each and every woman she is worthy. It allows you to think of those forbitten questions hidden away but solving the mysteries of every possible topic. Marie Claire is a right of passage for every young woman.
