Somarian Double Sided Acacia Wood Cutting Board with Groove, 3/4 Inch Thick - 15¾-Inch-by-11¾'' -Inch - Large

Not sure why this was rated so highly. Beautiful wood it is, but after 1 use dicing onions and garlic, it has cut marks all over. The side grooves are also rough, not sanded smoothly, so when I use a fabric to oil there, the fabric fuzz gets caught and I'm not sure if this will cause splinters. I had already returned another cutting board (which also had good reviews, but had splinter hairs all over), so I'll likely keep this. But am disappointed and would not purchase another one.

I hated this. The first time I cut veggies on it, the wood was ruined. It came up in like small tiny slivers. I just didn't trust it to cut anything else again. In fact I threw away the veggies when I cut them. I leave my cutting board on the counter at all times and don't want it looking like it's been there for years when it's brand new. I gave it away within the first week and went and bought another one.

The cutting board pictured is beautiful. The one I received, unlike the photo, has some highly variegated grain with a couple large, almost white areas. There are also a couple big knots, where the photo shows clear, even grain. I was disappointed. Better selection/matching of the wood, or showing a more typical product picture would prevent customer dissatisfaction. The product seems otherwise well made and hopefully will last a long time. Just don't expect it to look "as advertised."

Its not lightweight, but I think that is good, because its an indicator of its thickness. My only complaint with the board isn't a complaint per say but rather a question. I tried to oil the board (As one should when getting a new board) But the oil didn't seem to deep into the wood. I think the board has already been oiled. (it felt a little slick). Anyway, I love this board!

I have not used this yet, as I purchased it for my sister to use when we are preparing Christmas dinner, so I don’t know about cleaning and durability, but I would not anticipate a problem.

I love this Acacia cutting board! It is very sturdy and the wood grain is beautiful!. In Hawaii, the Acacia is named Koa and is the same wood that the handmade pulpit in my church is made of, is now almost 30 years old, and with much usage looks like new. I have never had a cutting board made of this wood before and would certainly recommend it highly,.

The board has some sort of varnish on it this prevents it from taking up any mineral oil like it should. Also that means that the surface scratches with every cut. Then I noticed that after less than a month of light use it is starting to split in one spot. I took some pictures but it is hard to see

Excellent cutting board. Beautiful piece of wood. Perfect size for two people. I like that there are no rubber feet to get in the way. Easily stores against the wall. I bought this to replace my Corelle board that I feared was dulling my knives. It arrived on time, undamaged, exactly as described.
