Can I use more than one type of pad? What pads are recommended?

Thanks for your question, of course you can use more than one type of pad at the same time. 
AUVON TENS Unit is compatible with all the electrode pads with a 2mm pin connector, regardless of their shape, size or brand, so you can use a pair of 2” pads in Channel A and use a pair of 2” x 4” pads in Channel B. 
For the recommended areas of different pads, the 2” pads are suitable for small areas like joints, and the 2” x 4” pads are good for your shoulder, as for the 4” x 8” pads, they are the best for your back.

I need a unit that will do eight pads (four per channel). Will this unit do that, or do you make another that will? Also, where do I buy the lead wire

Thanks for your question. This TENS unit is a dual channel unit which only does 4 pads at the same time. 
But if you need a unit that will do 8 pads, then we have a newer version which allows 8 pads to be used at the same time, you can find it on AUVON Amazon store page.

Do you have to have the gel to work?

Thanks for your question! No, you don’t have to add the gel to the pads before use.
The pads that come with the TENS device are sticky, so there is no need to add more gel to the surface which is cost-effective to save your money to buy gel.
