Love these cameras. I have 3 of them. They alert you quickly. They've been out in the elements for over a year and have worked flawlessly. Easy to set up. Great quality. Video quality is great too.

One of the features that I like about this camera is that it runs on a battery and does not need power. It can be charged by the included solar panel, or it can be plugged into a USB charger using a standard USB cable. I found that it does not need to be charged very frequently. Battery usage depends on the amount of motion that is detected and the length of video that is taken. This lets me setup a camera on my property as long as I have a wifi signal available. I use a mesh network with multiple access points so I have good coverage over a wide area outdoors on my property. Not having to run electric power to this camera is a definite plus! This camera has both nighttime infrared and visible lights. It also has a siren / alarm feature. You can add a microSD chip into the camera which will allow it to record video and pictures based upon motion detection. Setup is easy using the CloudEdge app on your phone. Using the app on your phone you can configure the motion detection and video recording. The are three options for nighttime: Intelligent Vision (which turns on the warm lights for full color at night when motion is detected), Full color night vision (which turns on warm lights when you view the camera at night), and Black and white night vision (which only uses the infrared lights). For alarm management you can set the motion detection sensitivity and the amount of video to record when motion is detected. You can setup a time period when alarms are active. You can also specify the visual area that is the alarm area. Motion detected only in this area will trigger the alarm. Alarms can be silent (video and picture only recorded), or you can setup a audio warning and strobe light alarm (only at night). Instructions are provided in the app on how to connect the camera so that it can be linked to Amazon Alexa. When this is done, it is possible to ask Alexa to "show the *** camera on the TV". Alexa can then show the video from the camera on your Alexa controlled TV. Unfortunately this doesn't always work, sometimes the connection is disabled. The camera has a microphone and can record audio. There is also a speaker so you can activate the speaker and talk using the app. Speaker volume and quality are ok. Quality and volume level are not the best. Picture quality is good for the price, however the zoom is a digital zoom. It is not an optical zoom. If you zoom too much, the picture becomes blurry. Given the price this is a camera that can be put to a lot of different uses. As long as you have wifi and your need is for basic functionality, it can be used as a trail cam, security camera, a monitoring and alarm camera, a door camera, etc. I have used this camera both indoors and outdoors. At this price you can afford to get multiple cameras. The camera comes with a 12 month warranty, and if you fill out a form you can extend the warranty to 24 months. I've been using ieGeek cameras for several years now. Haven't had any problems with any of them. Iegeek has made improvements and has added features to their cameras. For example the siren, warm lights are some of the newer features. I've found ieGeek customer service to be responsive and helpful. For example, a recent upgrade to the app caused a problem. A quick email to customer service let me know that the issue was being fixed and an upgrade was quickly available.

Overall, it is a good product with this price. The solar charging, motion detection, video quality, and wi-fi reception are all great. However, there are several things which do not work as I hoped. 1. With both light and siren alarms enabled, only light alarm gets triggered, no siren sound alarm is triggered, at night. I am not sure it ever works for other users. 2. The motion detection video does not get pushed to the app/phone, only a screenshot of the recorded video gets pushed to the app. To view the recorded video, you will have to click on the arrow => on the left side of the image. It takes pretty long to pull the video from the SD card to the app for review. 3. Lot of times, it takes too long to connect the app with the device, or, for "Establishing encrypted channel". Sometimes it take over 10 seconds. I hope all the above can be resolved with the future upgraded software improvement.

So I have had numerous cameras in the past due to stalking issues. All the cameras I've had in the past had issues. The best ones I had found previously, the stalker was able to time out the camera and never get a complete picture, only an arm or partial jacket. These cameras are amazing and everything I had hoped for, other than panning. However, the price is also considerably different. I needed 4 cameras and if I need more coverage it will still be cheaper to buy a couple more of these rather than purchase the ones that pan. These also do not claim to pan so there is no false advertising here. The picture and sound quality is crystal clear. The alerts are perfect for what I need. Also, unlike most cameras you do not have to purchase the additional online monthly I cloud storage, although that is an option as well. The customer service is also AMAZING! They will work with you no matter what it takes to get your cameras up and running. They are very pleasant to deal with and it's easy to put your confidence in them. They will send video's to show you whatever you're doing wrong if it's operator error as it was with myself. Having used many other cameras and never being satisfied, this has been such a relief to find. Between the customer service, the quality of the camera, the ease of the app, and camera itself and the pricing, I am considering purchasing a couple more just for even more coverage. I want to support such an amazing company. I purchase most of everything I use online. However, I'm not sure I've EVER had better customer service than this! They also give you an extended warranty if you register it right away, which I did not know beforehand and purchased one. I cannot say enough about them and how happy and relieved I am to have these cameras. If you are looking for one and don't want to break the bank but you want a great camera with great customer service, these are the ones to buy!

This is another great iegeek product I have recently added to my other Cameras being used in various ways. This one like the others comes packaged well with everything you need to get it mounted and in action straight away. Easy to follow instructions for those that need them along with mounting screws and app connection steps. Once you get it out of the box you can go ahead and get it connected to your wifi and start using it but its best to make sure the battery is fully charged just to make sure you get the best life out of it. I have found that doing the initial setup of the new device in the app can take a couple of attempts. Needing to reset it and start over but I am not sure if that is the camera or my wifi. (I don’t always attempt to set it up in the close proximity to my wifi router as suggested) Once you get it setup it just works and the app controls are great. Using it with motion detection or it can be disabled along with the instant alert notifications. In my case I typically using the camera for spot checks and being able to see what is going on inside or outside my property while I am away. The addition of the solar panel makes it super easy to install it exactly the right spot without having to worry about trying to run cables inside the attic or hide them outside. The PTZ controls are responsive and easy to get the camera to look exactly at what you want to see. Picture quality is sharp and the two way audio is a bonus if you need to let people know you are seeing everything. I would recommend iegeek cameras as this is now my third and they have been super reliable.

I've been using iGeek cameras for years now and I was really satisfied with the quality, easy to use and the reliability. This camera also by looking at it amazing and great video quality! But it took me a few days to realize it doesn't do what I want. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY OF ALL DAY RECORDING! MOTION DETECTION CAMERA ONLY!! Yes, you cannot record it all day unless a motion detect infront of your camera. It doesn't even mention anywhere clearly in the Amazon listings. It says motion detection but motion detection is an option for all day recording cameras also. Never said it's motion detection ONLY. This must be highlighted as this is an important for people like us. This is cheating and hide behind the app and you never know unless you keep looking for historical data. All cameras now listed in Amazon are battery powered cameras and all of them have this problem. I dont believe in tiny battery backups so I always connect them to an external power source. Not only this one, I purchased multiple other iGeek battery cameras as well and all battery cameras same. None battery cameras have all day feature and they are great!! This is horrible and misleading advertising. I fixed all these cameras and then only recognize this feature is not available. Now cannot even return. So please do not made this mistake. DO NOT BUY if you are looking for a ALL DAY CONTINOUS RECORDING security camera. This is NOT for you. NEVER AGAIN IGEEK!!

Excellent cameras easy to set up, a great value

As a retired pro CCTV consultant/contractor with 20 years experience I have really only used high-end equipment in my installs since most were in government and commercial buildings that could afford the higher priced equipment. Even when we build a new home five years ago I installed some on-hand used commercial equipment in it. However, since my time in the biz was many years ago that equipment was basically analog hardwired cameras and an older DVR. Since the home was built, I decided it was time to add more cameras so I began my search for the ideal lower cost consumer rated cameras that were now available. When we built, I did include a new ieGeek wired doorbell camera that used the CloudEdge app for control and notifications. Because I like the CloudEdge app so much I wanted to continue to buy new cameras that used that app so I could do multi screen viewing of multiple cameras. It turned out that ieGeek was one of the few companies that use that app, not sure if its their app or they just use it, but it was my primary reasons to look into ieGeek cameras. This new 2K PTZ solar camera is an upgraded version of their past products that have worked fine for me and there was no reason to search for another company. With this new camera not only do I get full HD but I also get better human detection and the ability to mask areas of view that I wish to avoid alarm triggering due to motion. So far, my testing has shown it to have great video quality in both daytime and night. Using a PIR for motion detection rather than digital pixel movement it helps solve the old problem of bugs flying close to the camera at night, attracted by the IR light, and triggering pixel movement. PIR should only be triggered by the heat of a body. When animals do the triggering, thats when AI human detection starts to prevent false alarms. The golden area you see in the attached photo is a customizable motion trigger area. If you turn on the humanoid detection function at the same time, when the camera AI intelligently identifies any suspected human beings in this area (golden area), the camera will wake up and record the motion event. Movement of unselected areas other than the golden area will not trigger the camera. In addition, I have found that the wifi range is excellent even at 100 or so feet from the router, with the signal passing thru block walls and stucco. Overall, this is a very good camera for the price and I can highly recommend it.
