I slept in this thing for first time last night. I have a small 2001 Ranger pickup and it fit okay. I maybe have gotten the 5.5 foot one instead of the 5 foot size but it fit perfectly for what I needed it to. It was nice and warm with the windows closed for a cool night and comfortable when you have it secured down nice and tight. Kinda tricky to set up but once you get it strapped down to the bed it’s pretty cool. We even had around 20mph winds and it held like a champ! I recommend getting some memory foam pads for the truck bed like I did for a decent sleep. The cons- no inside hooks to hang a light. Thats it! If you’re thinking about buying this do it! It’s a great investment for your money!

Fit my 2018 Colorado short bed. I think it will work but the strap is almost completely frayed and torn. It was clearly used and put under tension. Unfortunately I don’t have time to order another. (Waiting to hear from service-responsive so far) UPDATE: My friend and I took it out for a test run. In spite of 98-100F day temps and 80s at night, we found it remarkably comfortable (well not uncomfortable.) I have a queen size air mattress that put us high in the tent and I believe that allowed us to be in the cross breeze between windows. We decided it was easier to put up and inflate mattress at home then just collapse tent and fold ends of poles. My Tonneau cover covers the whole thing. We flip the cover up against the back window and pop the tent up and take it down as needed. This we make it even more useful when traveling and stopping for the night. I liked being off the ground. Just being higher up I felt safer because I had better view of the area. POV: We are 2 very small older (49 and 59) ladies who love the outdoors and are not high maintenance. I see a lot of travel in the Fall and Spring, even buy myself. This will be great.

-UPDATE- I am upgrading my initial review from 2 to 5 stars to reflect this companies customer service. The day after my first review, I was offered a full refund which I accepted. I still love the tent except for the leaks around the zippered openings. To stop this I put a tarp over the tent when rain is forecast. I am on a month long camping trip so unable to return, but I am very happy with this companies customer service and will order from them again. I was very happy with the quality of construction and with how the tent fit the bed of my 2016 RAM 1500 short box, but…I’m just now really using it for the first time. A few hours after setting it up, it began to rain for an hour or so. When I checked on my bedding, I found it to be soaked at the head and foot. The seller insisted in the description that it would be “water proof” without a fly cover. This is obviously not the case. Fortunately, the campground I’m in has a laundry facility where I could dry out my bedding. My $150 foam mattress is also soaked, though! From now on I will have to put a tarp over the tent which is not what I wanted to do. Very disappointed!! I’m a few hundred miles from home and am on an extended camping trip-otherwise I would return this for one with a fly cover!

I used this tent in my 22 Dodge 1500 classic Tradesman. It was a challenge to put up the 1st time but it is extremely durable. It survived 7 nights of hard rain and freezing temperatures in April this year. (2024) I love the entry door and it has a rear vent for if the humidity gets high. A window on each side with standard tent screen and one on its entry way too. The only thing that would make it better is a cushion on the tailgate section as it’s rough on the knees climbing in and out with any kind of bed liner.

We bought this tent for one night of camping in OBX. Set up was fairly quick and easy. Really there were no complaints to be had. THEN, it started to rain. The rain started sort, a drizzle or sprinkle if you will. Eventually, the rain became more of a downpour. At this point, we (my gf and I) were basically stuck in the tent as there was no where else for us to go. We hunkered down in there for a good 2 hours before we moved to the cab of the truck. We spent another hour and a half in the cab of the truck before we decided we couldn’t deal with all the rain and wind and thunder and lightning any longer… so we booked a room in the nearest hotel. This “nearest hotel” was 10 miles away but it was still absolutely pouring and the idea of taking down the tent was daunting to say the least. We made the executive decision that the tent would have to stay and we hoped for the best. We traveled down the empty beach road at 25 mph with roughly 20 mph winds and THE TENT HELD UP THE WHOLE TIME. While we did not get to actually experience a night of camping in this truck bed tent, I’d recommend it to any and everyone based on what it survived last night.

Good tent over all. Only problem is the sleeve for the top bow was stitched shut in the middle. You could see where the stitches had gone crooked. Had to cut the sleeve for the bow to pass. I'm sure this will cut the life of the tent down hopefully we can get one season out of it.

Great quality. Reasonable price Quick delivery. Easy to assemble. This was a gift. Recipient was delighted and is looking forward to using it shortly. In the meantime he had no trouble assembling it and fitting it on his truck.

LOVE this tent. Have used it twice and it works so well. It rained one of the nights and did not leak on us at all. We have used both an air mattress and self inflating mattresses and find those work much better. Highly recommend. We used for a 2017 F150 5.5ft box and had plenty of room! Listened to another review of setting it up before putting on truck box and that worked well for us. Highly recommend!
