This book is so well written for toddlers to 7 years. It provides steps and options for them to take and practice to calm down throughout the entire book. At the end, there is a page of tips for parents, guardians, and caregivers. It supports and provides examples of positive discipline skills. Also, I love that there is a bilingual version because I emphasize reading in Spanish at home since libraries and most signs and reading opportunities outside the home are all in English.My 3 year old loved it because it gave her the opportunity to practice the skills. I noticed that she felt empowered with this visual support of her independence. She also started using the skills within minutes of reading it.I would suggest this book to everyone! It’s now on my first birthday gift giving list.

Great for introducing toddlers to navigating their emotions. My toddler (19M) loves to look through the book and mimic the strategies used to “calm down”.

This is a gem of a book! I originally got it from the library as a book to teach Spanish, when he was 10 months or so. Well, come 16 months, and when he's having a hard time, we take 3 breaths and say "1, 2, 3, we're taking care of we." I think this has been the most important book for his development.

This was also a good book and will be great for my girl as she gets older!
