Original Australian Bac Pac Traveller Cowboy BC Hat Real Leather Brown

Wonderful hat, very please and glad I spent the extra money. This hat's a legitimate Australia import, well made, very comfortable and looks great. I've worn it most of the summer, through hot and cooler days, and through heavy rain, and it's as good as new. The hat's been pre oiled and waxed to make it waterproof, so no messing around with your own oils etc, no marks have appeared from the rain and my head stayed dry. Unlike cheaper imitations the inside includes a suede sweatband which adds to the comfort, and has a reinforced rim to keep it in shape. I originally ordered the large size as my head was between sizes but found the large too big and would easily fall off if I bent over. I returned that for a medium and it's been great, it stays on when running around and in windy weather. The leather self shapes to your head over time, and as leather stretches I'd suggest going for the smaller size if you're between sizes, I now often I forget I'm wearing it. I thought leather may be a bit warm in the hot weather but actually found it fine. Overall very pleased, would definitely buy again.

I bought this to replace a bush hat I've had for 20 years mine is sturdy with thick leather and a heavy wire brim. At £70 I expected this to be at least as close. IT IS NOT thin leather and the wire in the brim is so skinny it might as well not be there. I have requested a return and will look elsewhere!
