Sk - The best tools on the planet.
I have been an SK tool fan for 30+ years. I buy up all the old tool sets on ebay, and there is nothing better in my opinion. New Sk tools are fabulous too, so 30+ years, and SK is still hands down the best stuff out there.I bought this 1 socket to replace a 5/16" that got swallowed up my by car...its predecessor is riding around somewhere between the fender and wheel liner (no, no going to take half the front end apart to remove liner - 1978 Chevy!)That said, the new socket sure is tighter on the extension. I guess 30 years of abuse on a 5/16 loosened it up a bit, but it was faithful until it fell into the abyss.

I've Never Gone Wrong With SK
The media could not be loaded. While this was simply a purchase of a replacement socket, the review encompasses SK tools in general and the quality they bring to the purchaser. I've had that little socket set at least 40 years, possibly longer and have only replaced sockets twice which illustrates the quality of the SK brand.I used these tools as a professional in the automotive industry for many decades and fully recommend their use for any needs a person might have.

It works great
This socket came with a slight blemish in the finish but I don't care. Functionally it is fine and that is my biggest concern. Wouldhave given 5 stars otherwise. The blemish just isn't an issue to me.

Replacement for 25 year old S/K socket. indistinguishable from the original.
I purchased this to replace and worn socket on my S/K set. It is indistinguishable from the original. Only time will tell if it holds up as long.By the way, the original was used to power drive screws to put together 2 metal sheds and countless other uses over the 25 years I owned the set. It only failed due to my abuse. All the other sockets in the set are still great.

SK Tools are about the best out there for quality and durability
SK Tools are about the best out there for quality and durability. If used with reasonable care they should last for many years. This #40910 6 Point 5/16-Inch X 1/4-Inch Standard Drive Socket, is only the second replacement socket in a set that is almost 40 years old and has seen much use, including 3 frame off restorations. This socket was lost during a roadside repair; and the 1/2 inch was broken when being used on an impact driver. Neither was SK's fault. I highly recommend SK Tools for any work shop needs!
