Works well for viral outbreaks and histamine issues
Cimetidine is an interesting drug; yes, it helps with acid reflux, but I learned decades ago that it's also known to help with slowing or stopping viral replication and helps with histamine blocking - great news if you wrestle with MCAS.Works very well for me for both issues, though the MCAS seems to be the culprit behind most of my ills, and I'm thrilled this is FSA eligible.

Recommended for people with poor tolerance to Famotidine
Now, with ranitidine gone, for people who do not want to take proton pump inhibitors, it is only fomatidine or cimetidine (tagamet) left. Fomatidine is cheaper, but for me it caused stomach pain. Tagamet does have any negative effect I could notice.
