Sometimes the capacitor goes bad, this replacement works fine for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exact replacement for OEM Carrier/Payne/Bryant Blower Run Capacitor *by A***E on 19 April 2022* Item - 5 Stars Seller - 3 Stars This is a simple do it yourself job that should be completed every 5 years. Don't bother paying hundreds for a tech to test if its good. It is super cheap and will save you electricity bills if yours is malfunctioning. You likely need to replace your run capacitor if your blower motor starts with a loud hum before starting, or doesn't start at all. The blower fan should be instant on. You may also need to replace it if you notice little to no air coming through the HVAC system. On a Carrier/Payne/Bryant split system, the blower is attached to the furnace. You should find the run capacitor there to attached via metal belt and hex screw. It is typically a #7 socket wrench to open the blower section of the furnace and a 1/4" socket to release the bolt fastening the capacitor to the housing. Two cables attached should come off the capacitor pretty easy and attached to the new one the same way. TURN OFF THE ELECTRICITY BEFORE CHANGING THE CAPACITOR!!! The seller needs to invest in some cheap cardboard for packing or at least some scotch tape. This is the 2nd capacitor I've purchased from this seller. The item is in a Amazon padded envelope. That's all that it is in. The capacitor flies out of the original manufacturer's box during shipping and flops around in the padded envelope.
