Placer le pistolet au centre du disque, à 30cm du disque (soir la hauteur d’une pochette) et presser 4 fois très lentement (ne pas entendre le "clic", sinon c'est que l'on appuie trop vite). Test du mouchoir en papier, s’il colle au disque, il reste de l'électricité statique. Il faut utiliser le pistolet sans l'embout qui sert juste à vérifier que le pistolet fonctionne car il émet une très faible lumière visible dans l'obscurité lorsqu'on appuie sur la gâchette.
