Review: Replacing failing SATA with SAS in home office server. - So far so good! Price was excellent, service was outstanding (fast shipping despite hurricane shutting down their business. No stats for individual drive to compare, application is in RAID2Z array. Now if I could only afford to get eight more just like it... Review: Used drives 4 out of 4 DOA. - I ordered 4 and all 4 arrived DOA. All 4 were also manufactured in 2013 so they are 5 years old. The SMART stats appear to be wiped however the load cycle counts can't be wiped an all showed well over 1,000 which isn't possible without being a used drive. 2 of them had rubber bumpers that had been glued on to the back by hand, likely an artifact of whatever they were installed in before. This ad does not list these as used or refurbished drives. ## Features - Dual Stage Actuator (DSA) and Enhanced Rotational Vibration Safeguard (RVS) for robust performance in multi-drive environments - 24x7 accessibility for enterprise-class, capacity-optimized applications - Best fit applications: Cloud storage, Massive Scale Out (MSO), Data warehousing and mining, Disk-to-disk backup and archiving, RAID arrays, Network Attached Storage (NAS) - 2TB Capacity, 6Gb/s SAS - 2.0M hours MTBF ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0082D57ZK | | Additional Features | Portable | | Best Sellers Rank | #1,239 in Internal Hard Drives | | Brand | HGST | | Built-In Media | Hard Drive | | Cache Memory Installed Size | 64 | | Color | Silver | | Compatible Devices | server | | Connectivity Technology | SAS | | Customer Reviews | 3.1 out of 5 stars 18 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 6 gigabits_per_second | | Digital Storage Capacity | 2 TB | | Form Factor | 3.5-inch | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04016138738018, 05711045413773 | | Hard Disk Description | Raid | | Hard Disk Form Factor | 3.5 inches | | Hard Disk Interface | Serial Attached SCSI | | Hard Disk Rotational Speed | 7200 rpm | | Hard-Drive Size | 2 TB | | Hardware Connectivity | SAS | | Hardware Platform | laptop | | Installation Type | Internal Hard Drive | | Item Weight | 1.5 pounds | | Manufacturer | HGST, a Western Digital Company | | Media Speed | 550 MB/s | | Mfr Part Number | 0B26312 | | Model Name | 0B26312 | | Model Number | 0B26312 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Read Speed | 6 gigabytes_per_second | | Special Feature | Portable | | Specific Uses For Product | Personal | | UPC | 863121549496 829686002210 846764216420 609459370643 012300814621 803982910820 851905119751 401613873805 724627110989 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** HGST - **Color:** Silver - **Compatible Devices:** server - **Connectivity Technology:** SAS - **Digital Storage Capacity:** 2 TB - **Hard Disk Description:** Raid - **Hard Disk Form Factor:** 3.5 inches - **Hard Disk Interface:** Serial Attached SCSI - **Installation Type:** Internal Hard Drive - **Special Feature:** Portable ## Images ![Western Digital HGST Ultrastar 3.5-Inch 2TB 7200RPM SAS 6Gbps 64MB Cache Internal Enterprise Bare or OEM Hard Drives (HUS723020ALS640) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51FX4WEX0gL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replacing failing SATA with SAS in home office server. *by F***7 on October 31, 2017* So far so good!
