MusicNomad MN600 Precision Truss Rod Neck Relief Gauge Tool

This product has to be thought of in conjunction with the booklet and videos that accompany their use. Yes, this is a lot of money for something that is in effect a set of 'curated' and carefully marked feeler gauges, but because of the other materials and the very clear markings and instructions, I've made more progress in doing my own setups since buying the music nomad gear and following along with their videos, than I have in the past 30 years of various books and picking up tips here and there. Recommended – just be sure to follow along with their tutorials. I'm sure once I've absorbed it all I'll branch out but for the moment, these get a solid thumbs up. I'll post an identical review for their other gauges which are also excellent.

adjusting trust rods just became very easy I have used it on my Jackson and Stratocaster it does a fantastic job only small in size but this tool really is fantastic i love it.

I am a complete beginner and found this gauge set easy to use to set up my Gretsch dreadnought guitar. Slightly hesitant to start cranking the truss rod but the instructions are easy to follow make the whole thing a breeze. It sounds great with nice action and no fret buzz. Recommended.

Ok so it’s essentially a clean, small set of feeler gauges with 3 blades. It is however free from oils and has some instructions on the back. I initially though the box was empty, so it’s really light and small. It does what it should and is of decent quality. You pay for decent tools, you could use a cheaper automotive set and degrease them, if on a budget. For me it fits the purpose.

Being able to actually measure if your neck is straight or not makes ALL the difference when doing a set up. If I lost mine and they doubled the price, I would buy it again in a heart beat! If you’re getting into doing your own set ups, do not skip this tool!

I've used this a few times now on my guitars and its really useful that with the simplest of measurements you can prevent the bowing in your neck from getting out of hand. The tip is that even after correcting for this if your action is high down the fret board, it means you need either a saddle or nut adjustment

Easy to use, just follow the recommended steps and it makes setting neck relief a doddle. Used on a Gibson ES335 and a Fender Precision bass, if I can give a tip it would be to only make small adjustments, no more than a quarter of a turn at a time, let things settle down before doing more.

If you're like me, and you prefer to do the set-ups and maintenance on your guitar, this neck relief gauge tool is a must have. It consists of three feeler gauges, one for electric guitar, one for classical guitar, and one for acoustic guitar/bass guitar, and a "pick capo", which when used per the instructions, will determine if your guitar's neck needs a truss rod adjustment. The instructions are laser-etched on the tool and easy to read and follow, which really helps demystify the process of adjusting a truss rod, which even experienced guitar players are sometimes reluctant to attempt, but it is not nearly as difficult as many believe, especially when using tools like this one. So if you want to keep your guitar playing and sounding great, and you don't want to find and pay a guitar-tech every time your guitar needs a set-up, then this tool is a must have, and one that will pay for itself the first time you use it.
