Works great with hair dryers.
Took this with me to Italy. I read before I went that others had trouble with their hair dryers not working. I had no trouble at all with this voltage converter. I loved the fact that I could charge my IPhone, IPad, portable power bank and AirPods all at one time. The charging was fast. I plugged it in at night before I went to bed, when I woke up in the morning everything was ready to go. I would definitely recommend buying this product to anyone traveling overseas. With all of the different converters it is definitely a great bargain.

Useful adapter, there are some issues to note
**Pros If you drop it it doesn't break. If it's carrying a load it has a fan. It will indeed run hair dryers and high power hair straightening accessories on the special outlet. USB charging ports are very handy. **Cons If you're traveling in Europe you definitely need an extension cord, because there are no hair dryer outlets in bathrooms. The cord on this device is too short, it's made of a stiff plastic, the adapters are fiddly, and it easily slips out of the box while you're using it. While it is correctly labeled, the print is very small. Being short of other outlets, we plugged our laptop adapters into the 200 watt outlets. My Lenovo PC adapter worked fine in the 200w outlets, but my wife's MacBook adapter did not. So I had to go out and buy another basic adapter while on the trip. The USB ports do not offer quick charging. **Recommendations I think this is worth having, it does what it says and the full size outlets are nice. - Get yourself a regular multi-country adapter, and a decent desktop PC / monitor cord to replace the cord and adapters that came with the unit. You are very likely going to find that you can't get your hair dryer anywhere near a mirror and some hotels, and a 68" cord helps a lot. - Make certain that you're not bringing an electronically-controlled hair accessory with you as the warnings are correct. We had two devices without electronics, but my wife had one hair iron that had a digital display and it stopped working after being plugged in. That's our fault, I'm just giving you a warning. - If you're going to have more than a couple of items to plug in, you're still going to want another multi-country adapter. The ones with all the levers look pretty silly, but they are easy to pack.

Life Saver
Last minute I purchased this for my European Trip. I really wanted to bring my flat iron. I purchased a small travel adapter for my phone, headphones, and watch. I discovered that the travel adapter did not work. I was glad I had this adapter. I was able to plug in and charge all my things and use my flat iron. Was there a slight buzzing/humming noise like others talked about? YES, was it annoying... not really. I could move it around and it would stop buzzing and this ONLY happened when I had my flat iron plugged into it. I NEVER heard a buzzing/humming noise when my phone, headphones, earbuds, or watch were charging. Was it heavy and bulky? YES, but worth it!!! I would definitely bring it with me if I travel out of the States again!

Sparks are flying but not the good kind.
I read several articles which all claimed this was a good product for hairdryers and curling irons. I would not recommend it. I have a Drybar blowout hair dryer (the one with the brush) and by the middle of the trip, it was popping and I could see sparks coming out at times. It overheated to the point where it was almost burning to touch in the handle area. I’m worried it’s irreparably damaged from this. I also used a curl wand with it. Before leaving, I double checked that the curl wand was off. I got back to discover the curl wand was NOT off and had been hot the whole time. It usually has an override that will shut it off but it seems the adapter didn’t allow it to be triggered properly. It also was spotty with my phone charging. Sometimes my phone would go from 1% to 50% in a matter of minutes then others it would take a half hour to charge to that much. Finally, by the end of the trip simply running my hair dryer for a few minutes seemed to cause it to overheat and trigger a very loud fan. 0/10 would not recommend.

Is compact and allows for use of multiple devices at the same time
In the past I had five different foreign country adapters that were rather large and took up a lot of space in my luggage. Then I still had to have a voltage converter so I could use it with my devices that were not 110-220 volt and 50-60 hertz compatible. With this setup you simply slide one of the six small appropriate country adapters onto the voltage converter and plug it into the wall. The converter accommodates two devices with American plugs up to 200 watts and one high wattage (up to 2000 watts) American plug for a hair dryer or hot comb but will not accommodate high voltage devices containing electronic chips, automatic reset, automatic shut-off or electronic temperature control. It also has three USB-A outlets and one USB-C outlet on the converter. The whole set up (six adapters and the voltage converter) is smaller than the five old adapters I previously used not including the separate voltage converter. Really nice.
