Nice knife
This is a nice knife. Itโs a big size but itโs nice and sturdy. Itโs doesnโt wiggle around when you use it and it seems to keep its edge quite well. Works for what itโs intended and Iโve bought one for both myself and also my husband since I liked it so much. The added sheathe is nice too.

Best $18 Survival Knife Available!
This knife came in as advertised. It was somewhat sharp, but not paper cutting sharp. After a few swipes down a Chef's knife sharpener, it was very sharp. I used a diamond credit card sharpener to make the edge dangerously sharp. I've used the knife to baton firewood and small kindling and it works famously! Before you take a baton to ANY KNIFE, make sure that you know how to do it correctly. Those complaining about the top serrations not being sharp, I found out coincidentally that this also is by design. When using the fire starter down the blade as is done with most fire starters, it produced only marginal sparks. When pulling the fire starter through the dull serrations it produced such massive sparks that I accidentally set my pants on fire. The included Stainless steel sharpener is not great, BUT it is sufficient to "tune up" the blade's edge while out in the wild. I wrapped a 20 foot length of 12 pound test line and a fish hook around the sharpener and it still fits in the rear pocket of the sheath. One can actually pull the rod out of either of these accessories and use the whistle part for a fishing float by simply adding a small round of cork are the plastic holders. The whistles on the fire starter and sharpener are not loud, but beat shouting when help is needed. Perhaps the BEST THING about these included accessories are the bank line and fasteners attached to each of the devices. If found just enough bank line on the accessories, along with the clips to keep an unruly tent secure.I have gigantic hands and prefer a larger grip. So I weaved 25 feet of 550 pound test paracord around the handle. This makes for a thicker grip AND you can never have too much paracord in a back pack. The inside of paracord is flammable, so as an experiment, I unwound 6 inches of paracord, used the knife and sharpener to remove the cover of the paracord and started a fire using only the knife, the included fire starter and the strands from inside the paracord. It worked flawlessly and produced a great fire with the aid of only some dried twigs.I liked this knife so well, I bought another to keep in the boat. The stainless and rubber design should keep the moisture from ruining the knife as it did the previous high carbon steel boat knife.GREAT VALUE, especially for $18!

Nice knife
Guys the net/net here is the knife is very nice.Mine came wrapped in plastic (from handle to blade) and also came with a rubber guard for the knife tip. The knife is covered in oil to prevent corrosion (I appreciated this). Once you wipe the knife clean and hold it, it looks absolutely beautiful. The knife comes with a nice leather sheath that has a strap to hold it in place. The knife doesn't feel cheap and has good weight to it.One thing to keep in mind, THE KNIFE IS HUGE. It's like a mini sword and I would suggest you wear gloves when handling it for improved grip. Some people complain (these people complain about everything in life) and there is just no reason to complain. My knife blade has a little nick in it but it's really nothing. Keep in mind that this is A WHOLE LOTTA KNIFE FOR $80 and you'd probably pay $125+ for it in a retail setting. If you want a "perfect" knife, be advised they exist but you're not going to get it for $80. So be realistic and not some tool who expects the world for $80.Highly recommended...

$16 - the looooong way
Close to 3 years later and I am genuinely surprised by the knife's performance so far. It's been used as a throwing knife, as a machete to clear trails, as a hatched to kindle various harnesses of firewood, chopping bones, and much more. So far, there's a single chip from hitting metal full swing and nothing but light scratching all around. Hit concrete more than once with minimal effect on sharpeness. Excellent edge retention and great weight balance.Haven't gotten to properly use fire starters but found them functional when testing upon arrival. Never expected $16 to take me this far.

Great for the price!
Overall, a great knife for its price. It feels great and sturdy. The grip is very comfortable. I love the design. It has a lovely look. Itโs decently hefty but agile. Highly recommend this.

Way Bigger Than I Expected
This knife is huge, bigger than I expected, though that's fine. This is almost large enough to be a machete. I wanted something that I could use for cutting wood among other things. It feels sharp, though I can't really tell until I actually cut something.I like the weight of it. It might be a bit heavy in the blade. That might come in handy for chopping.Would buy again; would recommend, if you need a large knife.
