The Republic of Tea HiCAF Pom Berry Black Tea, High Caffeine, 50 Count

Ok so I been wanting to buy from this company for awhile but I have a large list of teas I'd like to try and haven't gotten to them till now. Usually I drink loose leaf teas, only black, sometimes flavored but usually not. However, I love all things coconut. It's been hard finding a good coconut tea. I've found some that were good but we're more of a sweet treat drink than a tea. This however, is a good, coconut, TEA. It has a clear, polished coconut flavor. I've been adding a little bit of tea forte's orchard vanilla as well (incredible tea) they compliment each other very well. I have had no issues with the tea bag quality. I would suggest to anyone that does to just use it as a loose leaf tea, get empty bags or a strainer. Now as far as the caffeine content, it seems to be getting the job done. I've been trying to switch my morning coffee for tea -my morning coffee is a large cup of espresso. I use two of these tea bags in a 16 oz cup, sometimes with the vanilla tea sometimes not. This will get me through to lunch time with out feeling like I need more caffeine. With other teas I was having multiple cups. Mind you, my morning caffeine intake is usually pretty high- it's impressive I can get by with 1 cup (with two bags). So, I will definitely be buying this one again, and trying the hicaf breakfast tea next and then move on to other flavors/blends from Republic of tea. Definitely very pleased with this tea. Also I did try as an ice tea and it's absolutely delicious that way as well.

Best tea for waking up in the morning! Mix one bag with one bag of Yogi Vanilla Spice and lots of honey and it is delicious! Have tried a lot of tea and this combination is the best!

I had been drinking the "breakfast black" flavor of the hi caf teas for a month or two. That one is 110 mg of caffeine. But I did get kinda bored of that flavor so I decided to mix it up and get coconut. Well I didn't realize until drinking it for a few days that my better mood and higher energy weren't just magically happening; it was because this flavor has 30 more mg than the breakfast flavor! Coconut has a whole 140 mg. I had no idea. I drank it in the morning one day and cleaned for like five hours straight. I might as well have taken Adderall or something. I was unstoppable. Anyways, just fair warning that this flavor is extra high caffeine content. As for the taste, it's exactly as you'd expect a black tea with coconut to taste. Loving it :)

Toasted Coconut: would not recommend this flavor. You might enjoy this if you like coconut cake. I personally hate coconut cake, however I do love coconut water and curry. Caffeine: 140mg Smell 2/5: Not a fan of this smell. Taste 3/5: Taste is OK, doesn't taste amazing but doesn't taste bad either. Cinnamon toast: highly recommend. If you love apple pie, you will love this flavor. Caffeine: 116mg Smell 5/5: amazing aroma that makes you want to drink it. Taste 5/5: great taste that warms the soul. Excellent caffeine effect in both flavors. Toasted coconut does not feel noticeably more powerful even though it has 24mg more caffeine than the cinnamon toast flavor.

I think after buying 50 mini bags for let’s round it at $18, that there is more hoopla than caffeine. Besides the fact that a nice amount of the minis were discolored revealing ancient batch?, Imwas eagerly expecting some kind of caffeine performance to no avail. The beauty of this type of marketing of the HICAF variety is that the same as their is no accounting for taste, it is also applicable for the caffeine with oh well, each person differs to the effects of tea caffeine. Since 2 bags were mandatory if there was perk up only 25 offerings per purchase. Silly willy don’t mind but no repeat. On the positive smell and taste did attest to coconut. 150 what? 3 Stars.
