The ink comes out super easily, smooth, doesn’t smudge or run, dries quickly, and is very opaque. It’s opaque to the point that it can cover my line work sometimes so I have to go back over it, but that means that it’s also amazing for covering up my mistakes. I appreciate that they’re very affordable, especially since I’ve been using my set I bought for a few years now and still have plenty of ink. Sometimes I do notice that if I do a lot of layers to really build it up, it can get a little flaky (depending on the medium).
