This is a purchase you will not regret.
My pictures show Power Straps installed on large MTB flat pedals and smaller Shimano SPD flip-flops. Some pedals you may need to run to the hardware store for longer bolts. But with a little patience, they are not hard to install. Buy the larger strap if you want to ride in warm winter boots. When riding, Power Straps work VERY well. Easy in, easy out, more power and stability. With Power Straps, I have never felt a need for clipless pedals and even if you buy four sets of Power Straps for four bikes because you have that many and are a kook like me, it's less expensive than a single pair of SPD shoes. The Power Straps in the MTB photo are 11+ years old and did 5 years of winter commutes in warm boots. They last. A. Long. Time.

A Perfect Alternative to Clips!
I don’t know why I didn’t order these years ago! They work perfectly to keep your foot on the pedal. Great for recumbents. And they free you up to move your feet around instead of being clipped in a rigid position and you can wear any shoe you want. I ride in barefoot shoes and it feels wonderful to not have your foot cramped in a stiff tight shoe.

these are unique
The power grips for the Fixed gear bike are quite good. My only beef is that it is a bit tough to get into them, especially on the fixed gear bike when your "slip-in" time is greatly restricted. However, I have size 13 shoes which may compound the problem. But they are really nice once you get locked in, and you can wear dress shoes if you must without mucking them up, which is important for me. It is also really easy to release from these, which is critical given the idiotic drivers in Tucson.

Awesome! The bigger size works.
I have problems with my right leg(Dorsiflexion)so "I" can't move foot up. With "Power grips" it gives me the extra hold on the peddle. They're great! I had to get the extra large strips for my size 11.5 shoe. Installation was easy, the biggest problem was I kept dropping the tiny nut that holds on the "power grips", no big deal!! I should of used needle nose pliers. I put them on the peddles befroe I put the peddles on the bike. (I could see it being a pain the rear, if the peddles were on the bike already.) I also slipped my shoes into them a few times to get the right size "loop". No problem and a brilliant idea if I say so myself! HA! Down the road I'm might have to adjust them tighter them after I get used to them, but it shouldn't be a problem These are going to last for a LONG time, the material is tough and rigid enough for the loop to stay open. It's easy to slip your feet into them, and I had to stop suddenly and getting out of them was no problem! I was using "clipless" before and I'll be using these for years to come. Also because of my Dorsiflexion, these keep my feet centered on the peddle. These are a good, you might think they are a little expensive, but the material and peddles are tough! I'm satisfied and happy about my purchase!

Why do people buy those ridiculous bike shoes anyways???
This pedal design does it all: Easy out, flip it up or down when you dont need it. I have used this product for 8 years and I love them. The crazy thing is: nobody uses them! It absolutely kicks the butt of ANY other pedal system. So unless you are some spandex biker grinding away on your eggbeaters....This is all you need. Its perfect for the bike path/urban/commuting. Its safe and easy disengage prevents the dreaded sudden tip-over bike-dump. Plus: no overpriced shoes to buy! I buy extras with these straps in case they ever become unavailable.

Secure, but had other issues.
I used the non fixie version and really like them. I cant recommend this version however. They are XL by default so they are slightly loose on my feet. The way they are installed also causes them to rub on the crank arm and squeak with each rotation. I had to stop using them.

These are sturdy and very functional toe straps!
Posted before and after installation photos. Bought these primarily because they are safe and easy to get in and out of...don't want to have my shoes locked to the pedals if I drop the bike. It will take several rides to get used to them. I started by installing only the right-side strap then after getting comfortable with it installed the left-side strap. The straps and hardware are of quality material and are very comfortable to ride in. They can be adjusted to fit the shoe. I have a man's size 11 shoe so got the larger one...375mm. It is a little difficult to figure out at 1st which holes to install the straps in but looking at the instructions and thinking a bit will make it clear.

Beats clips, cages and anything else.
To heck with wearing stupid looking shoes. To heck with cages that are always too loose to feel effective and too tight to slide on and off with ease. This is the best of ALL worlds. Once you got these babies adjusted right WOW do they ever keep you planted. And getting your foot free is second nature. In a moment of panic, when you don't have time to think about getting your leg free, your foot will come right out. It just does. I had these on for about a year and have only had to adjust them once because the screw came loose. They should last a good while longer too if the current signs of wear are any indication. I'll never go back to clips or cages. Especially not when touring, where it's such a blessing not to have to pack extra (normal) shoes. Really good price too.

First class product.
I’ve used this product for years. Quite literally over 40,000 miles. I always ride with these.

These easily fit my boots and shoes and work great
I got these for my winter bike, a fixed gear MTB with studded tires. Normal foot retention methods wouldn't work because of the size 12 winter boots I would be wearing. These easily fit my boots and shoes and work great. It's a bit clumsy at first, but all of these things are like that and they soon become second nature. They lasted through the winter and show a little wear, but they will be good to go come the snow again. Update: 2 winters now, they show more wear, but are still as solid as when new. I've yet to fall from being strapped in too (they are pretty easy to get out of once you get used to the motion). Update: 3 winters and they are still doing fine. I've gotten better at track stands, so I can keep by boots fully locked in for most of an hour of riding through the city. It's nice not having to think about your feet slipping around on the peddles and I have not yet had my first 0mph crash riding fixed.

Primer uso y primera caída, bien.
Realmente sirven para sentirse con clips pero con cualquier calzado.

These are great! Since I am used to getting my foot ...
Was building a fixie and wanted an alternative to clippless pedals but did not want the old cages which dont work so well with my size 11 shoes. These are great! Since I am used to getting my foot snapped in while moving these were easy to adapt to. Even on a fixed wheel for the first time. Now I can wear whatever shoes I want and have the same secure clipped in feeling. What a simple solution.

Allows the rider to maximize power output without the need and hassle of clipless pedals and cleats.
Great product! This is my second set of Power Grips...first set lasted me 10 years and many thousands of kilometres of touring.
