Operation First Response Deluxe Leather Memo Pad Holder - Coco

I bought this as a gift for someone who used his last notepad holder to death. The quality of this one seems fairly good. However, the middle section that the notepad hinges at seems a bit stiff. My concern is that with prolonged use, the notepad will crack in that area instead of softening. I also wish it came with an extra note pad. I'll have to see how long this lasts for the receiver before they need another one. I don't really see the point of the pen holder and the pen. The receiver just puts his standard size pen in his shirt pocket and doesn't use that bit on the notepad holder.I read in the comments that people don't think that this is real leather. I can't really tell if it is or it isn't but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not 100% animal leather. If you're thinking of buying this on the basis that it's advertised as leather, please keep in mind that "leather" can refer to both animal leather and plant leather at different percentages.

I received this about a week ago, and so far I really like it. I find it a little wide, but I am hoping the edges will "fold in" a bit with use. It comes with a black ink pen, and I prefer blue, but all of my blue pens have rubber sleeves on them which make it difficult to slide in and out of the loop on the side. So I haven't really been using the pen loop.I like that it has a place for my business cards, and comes with paper, unlike some other notebooks on amazon.

This pad is perfect for me. I am a canine handler, and I always wear 5.11 type pants as part of my uniform. The pad (and pen) fits perfectly in my side pocket. It has become part of my routine equipment whenever I head out! I liked the pen so much that, when I recently lost mine, I asked about buying a replacement, and the company very nicely offered to send me a replacement pen for free! If you are looking for a compact memo pad that fits in your pocket, this one looks very professional (I got the "coco" version) and has held up well to some pretty rough use on my part.

This is the 2nd time I've ordered this. Lol my Hubs *acquired* the 1st one the day I got it! So I had to reorder...It's a very sturdy leather padcover, the mead 3x5 refills fit perfectly, and the heavy/well-writing pen is a fantastic bonus! Did I mention that I really love this?🙂

Very well made + it came with its own pen! For other notepads I've had to buy a pen. This is a quality product. I expect it to last many years. Best of all is the support for our first responders! I had to take off one star because it is about a quarter-inch too long to fit completely in my pocket. All in all it should have been 4 1/2 stars, but I couldn't see how to do that.

This is a really good looking compact notebook cover. The pen looks nice but feels cheap, and I doubt the elastic loop will last a really long time. Overall, though, for the price and the fact you can order it in brown, it's a good value for the money... it's just too small to fit the Rocketbook Mini I've come to love when organizing my head.

Great product, holds memo pads well. Very light weight and unobtrusive in my pockets which is nice because I hate carrying more than I have to. Wish it had an elastic strap to hold it shut in my pocket and the card holders are a little loose. But nothing a rubber band can't fix. Overall good product at a great price.
