As far as I understand, all Ziploc bags are BPA free and so is Tupperware.

sturdy enough for sous vide?

I had to Google spud vide. I am not sure that these bags could be used for cooking. I bought these to use for the Blessing in a Backpack program where we pack pre-packaged food for 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners and snacks for weekend food for low income children and the teachers put them in the children’s backpacks. Not sure if they can take heat.
