worth every penny.
It's better than any outside. I've ever used and I've had a pool for 40 years.

Great algicide if you are battling phosphate or don't know but use a ton of chlorine and shock without any consistency
Works great as an algicide and has allowed me to get on top of phosphates issues that have plagued me for the last 2 years. I was constantly scooping out the nasty green stuff and the pool looked like a stagnant irrigation pond every time I would go to use it. When the algae would get kipper off from the chlorine, shock and algicide the bottom had 1/2" of white powder for my vacuum cleaner to pick up. This was every week and I don't drain or add non potable drinking water to the pool.Anyone that tells you phosphates are never the issue on pool chlorine use, algae growth and even PH balance has never had to fight the issue. I was using 10 to 20 lbs of chlorine a week along with shocking every few days and the chlorine levels were never consistent. My PH would constantly fall about .2 every day. I used 2 50 pound bags of soda ash in 5 months in 2016 to keep the PH at 7.0 and could never get it higher. I started using nix early in the 2016 season closing with it and have used it consistently since then.A month into the 2017 season it started turning around. My chlorine usage dropped to what I would consider normal for a 30,000 gallon pool, averaging 8 3 inch tabs every 7 days. PH has held at 7.2 with only 10 lbs of soda ash used in 2017 and 8 lbs this year for the 2018 season so far. For 2018 I am using about 5 to 6 3 inch tabs and pool has never looked this good. No algae, PH and chlorine stay consistent only shocked when opened and every 2 weeks compared to every few days when I started battling phosphates and algae growth.

Works great!
This product is great overall. For whatever reason we have phosphates in our city water. Pool company suggest Nix. As a bonus it’s an algaecide as well. Removes phosphates quickly, I add 1/2 cup once a week and have no issues. We have had a ton of rain lately and algae has been an issue this year. I added more then usual and algae cleared right up. I had to take one star away for the bubbles it creates. A pool without waterfalls it’s probably fine. But if I have to add more then the usual amount and run the waterfalls, it looks like a bubble bath.

This is the best algae killer/inhibitor I have ever used
This is the best algae killer/inhibitor I have ever used. Texas summers are hot and Nix kept the algae from growing even in ideal conditions. I have spent a fortune they the years at a national chain with very mixed results.
