as retired chef i've used many hand potato peelers through the years but this one has got to take the prize for most stupid design. the swivelling blade is dificult to control. don't know why it swivels because it only makes peeling more difficult. i'm going to have to jam the blade with something to stop this. only bought it because of good reviews. meanwhile, had to dig out my old peeler from the trash for sunday dinner. unless you have the patience of a saint, leave well alone.

I've never been disappointed with a Zyliss item. I bought this to replace my previous Zyliss peeler that was borrowed and never returned.It's a little disappointing that it's not the rounded ergonomic style I had before, but it works just as well as my last one and it's easy to hold and manipulate.Be careful though! These are sharp. Super sharp. It requires no effort to use and will take the skin off anything it comes into contact with. Treat as cautiously as you would a venomous snake!

Zyliss is the best make of potato peelers I feel. We had an older version for 5 years until someone broke it, otherwise would have lasted even longer. This one is an even better version of the old one, just as sharp and fast.

Good quality purchased to replace a lost Zyliss peeler. Could not get exact replacement as out of stock and probably discontinued which is a shame as this one has a thicker handle and is therefore more difficult to use if you have small hands and/or a weaker grip. However the peeler is good quality.

This was a gift for my daughter who, on using mine, declared it was the only peeler that she could peel with. It was a great stocking filler!
