Tulip Needle Company Fine Beading Awl with Cushion Grip, Mint

I bought this tool for picking up stitches in needlepoint. It can be used as a laying tool too. It’s handy fir many tasks in sewing. Very sharp point. Must be kept from children and pets. Use carefully but often!

Tulip’s products are all exceptional. I don’t know how I could complete my bed work without them!

Made beading so much faster and even.

The Tulip Awl is the best awl for beading. This is my second one; someone "borrowed" my first one at a bead class and liked it so much they kept it. This awl has a very fine point and is wonderful for getting knots out of Fireline, or even Nymo. It's also indispensable when it comes to unclogging two-hole beads like Super Duos. I own another awl, but it's nowhere near as useful as the Tulip awl.

I've already used this beading awl, and like it very much. It's different from my other awls. It's smaller and much more precise. And it's very comfortable to handle. I'll be reaching for it a lot more than my other ones now.

I honestly didn't have very high expectations for this, given the price. I figured it would be some cheap chinese product. But when I opened the package and handled the product, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice rubbery grip, the awl tip itself is flawless, and it even includes a small cap to protect the awl tip.As far as the awl itself goes, it's exactly what I was looking for. It has a long, thin tip that extends a fair bit before it starts getting significantly thicker, and is nicely sharp. This fits my immediate need perfectly, and I imagine I'll find lots of other uses for it too.In short: I suspect I'll be wishing I had got one of these years ago.

very fine precision point...excellent for beadwork and knotting, particularly for high end gemstones. handle is not especially comfortable AND NOT CUSHIONED, but it is a minor factor.

This has been an essential tool. I do beadwork and I’ve used it to unthread, unknot, pierce holes… Super sharp and thin point can even fit two size 11 seed beads on the tip which is great when you are trying to just pick up a couple beads. I highly recommend this tool. Don’t know how I ever lived without it!

Love it. What a difference in awls. Excellent price compared to other suppliers. I would definitely recommend if you do wire weaving.
