I make vanilla extract and have for years. These are the best beans that I have tried. I purchased the 50 pack. They are fresh, plump, full inside and not dry at all. No mold issues either. For those wondering how many ounces there are, mine weighed 4.5oz in total. That's more than enough for a 750 liter (25.36oz) bottle of liquor. 1 ounce of beans to 8 ounces of alcohol. I will continue to order these beans and would recommend them to anyone. They are packaged very well and no issues with shipping.

My wife read about various grades and types of vanilla beans and we finally decided on purchasing these. Combining them with vodka and lots of time, we made the most incredible vanilla for family and friends to enjoy. You can re-use the beans after one batch, maybe let steep a bit longer the second time. Then, when the vanilla in the big jar is gone, my wife plans on putting the used beans into some sugar to make vanilla sugar. We will for sure purchase these vanilla beans again, when the time comes.

I've ordered these multiple times with great success. Everyone loves the vanilla. I make with vodka, rum and whiskey. This time I'm going to pour myself a drink and then split the beans and place all 50 into the 1.75L Jim Beam bottle. I let set, shake occasionally, for at least 8 months but 12 if I can holdout. The beans had moisture, a little sticky texture, a great smell and when finished the color is great and the taste even better. I have no issue with recommending these vanilla beans. Enjoy.

The beans I got for the most part were plump and moist. I could cut them down the middle before putting them in the jar. These beans were better than the grade A beans I got.

I thought I had found a good deal on vanilla beans in a physical store, which is how I initially sourced my beans to make homemade vanilla extract. Upon searching here I found these beans to be a significantly better deal. They come in a vacuum sealed bag. They’re oily, fresh, and fragrant. Most, if not all, are less than 7 inches but it doesn’t bother me. I’d definitely buy these beans again to make more vanilla extract in the future!

When I opened the package I thought they had sent me the pack of 10 instead of 30. Compared to the picture, very small.
