Comfortable Warm Good Value
I am a sailor and bought this for use while sailing on long distance voyages (1200nm) offshore into cold water areas like Newfoundland. I consider it a very good value. However, if you buy one, be aware that these are cut large, so may be larger than you expect. They are intended as "overgarments" and so cut to fit OVER other garments. As a sailor, I wear these over some tighter base layer wicking long pants (long johns) and under my foul weather bibs. Also be aware that the legs are short for a reason: the bib is intended to wear with high top military boots, so the legs will end above the ankle. The thickness of the fleece is very good for very cold weather, but too thick for warm weather (and was not designed for that). The zippers are good quality and have pull strings to help if you are wearing gloves. The two way zipper works well for urine relief. The bibs come up to mid torso (just below nipple line). The one weakness I have found is the elastic shoulder straps and buckles. Here is why: the elastic straps slide off my shoulders because of the way they are fitted to the bibs (placement of straps) and because the straps slip through the large hard plastic buckles. The straps also slide easily through the large hard plastic buckles, resulting in loose straps after a few minutes wear. This is a constant PITA. This means you have to keep pulling the straps to provide a snug fit or the straps will slide off your shoulders too. I consider this a design flaw (as a better strap/buckle would not do this), but given the price and "army surplus" nature of this product, one cannot expect everything to be perfect for everyone. I am 6' tall, 240# with 47" chest and 40" waist. I bought the Extra Large Tall (which says is for: "Chest over 45" Height over 71"). They fit me very loosely, but are really too big in the belly area, where I could put a football if I wanted. I feel like I can "walk around" in the torso area. I suspect a "Large Tall" would be a better fit for me. I selected the "Tall" size because I am 72" tall and wanted the coverage down to my ankles. When I wear them with street (low) shoes, my ankles are exposed. When I wear them with tall seaboots, the leg fabric has to bunch up. Everything is a compromise. IF you need something fleece (Polarfleece 300gsm) then you can adapt these. I consider them a very good value, despite some issues mentioned above. They will help you stay warmer. Probably ideal for anyone ice fishing, or working in cold weather. They roll up to a bundle about the size of a short loaf of bread. Just put on a waterproof/windprooft shell bib over these.

mostly good
Inside my combat uniform: for warmth; the pants ate insulated enough to replace my Two base layers and loose enough to get enough air flow while light duties without over heating. For wear; The pants is thin enough not to hinder movement, even while running, thanks to replacing my base layers.Once physical activities goes anywhere above light, and it will get hot, fast. It’s not the easiest thing to take off, in the middle of an operation, with body armor, and the Shoulder straps tend to slip loose. The side zippers can let the heat out, but I got to drop my pants anyway to open them up enough. The front zipper is useful for men to pee, but the straps makes it hard for women to pee or poop.I’m tall, so the legs end, just above my boots. So it doesn’t get the way, or look too bulky under my uniform.Overall it still replaces two base layers and keeps me comfortably warm around zero degrees Celsius, even in 10-15mph winds, which is why I got it in the first place.

Nice.
Just received these in the mail and they are pretty nice. They are a little short, but so what. They're not supposed to be an outer garment, they are meant to wear under trousers, specifically ECWCS trousers, or any other outer layer you care to layer with. For that purpose it would be undesirable for them to be dragging the ground, absorbing moisture and so forth, so a little short is ok with me. They are made of polartec fleece, and well made. Lots of zippers and what-not. A nice bit of cold weather kit . For the price, ya can't go wrong, so get 'em while you can.

Perfect for what I want them for.
I'm 6' 5" 276 lb. I ordered an XLL, and they are perfect in every way. The waist doesn't matter because they don't really have one. Inseam on my pants are 33". The bibs are about 1" shorter than that. These things have zippers every where. Zippers go the full length of the legs. If you have to get in or out of these in a hurry it wouldn't be hard. I got these for a second layer for backpacking. They will feel good on cold nights in the mountains out west. I was going to change the plastic buckles to Velcro, but the buckles are real thin.

Great Bibs but no protection from the briars and cuts and twigs you MIGHT run into ... very warm and price is RIGHT
I probably read the description incorrectly but I assumed they had some sort of covering over the Polartec ... they do not this is just Polartex with nothing over it (it will snag but I ain't a beauty queen) They are awesome warm , easy on and off with the zippers down the side... very nice and warm at a low price, They really don't block the wind yet they are warm in the wind, they are very thick likely 1 inch or so. at the price you can't go wrong, will use them in wet snow today ... let's see how that works out :)

Great midlayer for extreme cold temperatures.
These are function over fashion. I work in the oilfield of North Dakota and in the winter temperatures can reach -40 and below. These, part of a proper layering system are fantastic under my work coveralls. I always struggled with fleece sweat pants falling down, these do not. Just wish they had pockets.

Beware! Surplus dealers, shame on you for passively misleading people about this product.
If you actually have the entire U.S. military cold weather clothing system they're made for, these pants might be good, but as stand-alone fleece pants the fit is just all wrong. If you get them small enough that they're not baggy, they're ridiculous "high-wadders." If you get them big enough to reach your ankles you'll look like M.C. Hammer and you'll get drafts up your legs. Either way, they're doofy and disappointing.

Quick shipping, not great product
Ordered XXL and my husband is average height and these are super short on him. Can't even use them for anything. Definitely not true to size.
