Can't beat the price, and worked well. I did have to use 2 of the different seals together to make it work for my 2002 Dodge Dakota, but then it sealed fine.

Land Rover make arguably the most frustratingly hard to bleed engines as their cooling systems are designed to handle temperature swings in any part of the world whether sub-Saharan Africa or the Antarctic. Unfortunately, for those of us who own them and want to DIY our coolant changes, even relying on the manual makes this a week long process to bleed that last little bit of air. This kit got it done in 40 minutes. The threaded adaptor fit the Land Rover reservoir perfectly, unfortunately the biggest adaptor for it in the kit did not and this was fixed by wrapping gorilla tape around it before slipping it into the adaptor. Sealed and ready, I disconnected the cooling fan to make sure the engine would reach operating temp while idling (don't do this unless you have a scan tool to make sure you do not overheat!). I then set the heater temps to Max (both front and rear) and left the fan on the Lowest setting. Reason for this is that when set it to max heat the coolant flow valves are wide open but setting the fan to low ensures the coolant flows freely but the heater will not suck all the heat out of it to delay the engine warm up. The key to this process is getting the thermostat to open somewhat fully along with the coolant valves and the Land Rover will never do this just by idling so one must resort to these tricks. Again - SCAN GAUGE is critical to know your actual temp lest you overheat and warp you aluminum heads! If you start to see it overheat stop this process! I then installed the no spill spout, filled the rest of the reservoir beneath it and the spout itself up to 1/3 full. I started the engine and let it idle. It took a full 40 minutes for the thermostat to open halfway (good enough) and let all the nasty little air pockets rise to the funnel and float into the air. For good measure, I cycled the HVAC from full heat to max AC to open and close the coolant valves multiple times mixing up the pressures and line flow until I finished with them back in the max heat position. Each time I did this HVAC cycling, more air came up so I think this really helped. I started with a new expansion tank and new cap as maintenance items before I did all this and the final bleed with the no spill funnel made my cooling system run flawlessly. The shop manual has a long tedious process which is great for the fill part but an absolute pain for the bleed and I will never use it again. I'm going to use the spill proof funnel from now on. Your mileage may vary as if you don't have a scan tool and don't know your actual temps you might abort before the thermostat actually opens as, on Land Rovers at least, the temp gauge showing normal after 20 minutes most of the time means the thermostat hasn't opened at all, hence, if you stop there, all your time bleeding has been wasted.

As DIY I wanted to change to the coolants to my 2 cars. Because coolant change cost $100 each car this was a way to save money. Changing coolant is straightforward. drain at the the petcock, then refill. In my case I performed it 2x to make sure the coolant in the engine and heater core was also replaced. When I refilled my coolant I noticed small puddling at the base. Not a problem, just used some paper towels to absorb it. Very easy and inexpensive. If you are a DIY, this helps to make the coolant change straightforward.

This is what I have needed all these years without knowing it. In the past, I have added antifreeze either being very careful and pouring it directly into the radiator or using a loose funnel. In both cases, I spilled, sometimes a lot. This device seals into the top of my radiator and the funnel has a plug. I can put 1/2 liter of antifreeze into this funnel, observe how much goes into the cooling system, with squeezing on the coolant tubes to get the bubbles out and when I am done, I can put the plug in and dump what is left over back into the container.This comes with a bunch of different shapes of connectors. One fits my Dodge Caravan quite well. Will the others fit other cars, as well? I can't say. Antifreeze is poison. Since this is keeping from spilling it all over, this is great.
