Q: My lamps are not responding to voice or app commands. What should i do?

You need to set them up using the Alexa app or the Sylvania Smart WiFi Lifestyle app. This may include the step of turning the lamps on and off manually by hand to make them searchable by the app. The app setup instructions will guide you through the setup. In the Alexa app, you select "devices" and then lights, unless the app has already discovered the new light and gives you a shortcut to the setup. In the Syulvania app simple choose thew "+" sign from the Home Screen and follow instructions. You may find that the lights need to be re-setup every so often. Mine seem to disconnect occasionally, requiring the above steps again.

Q: Do these Lights work with Apple Homekit?

No. Our initial production run was Homekit compatible, but future production runs will not have Homekit. It is best to assume your order will not be Homekit compatible.

Q: How do I put the lamp into pairing mode?

Cycle the lamp on, then off, five times. It will blink four times to indicate that it is now in pairing mode.

Q: Can I use these lamps if I do not have an Alexa at home?

Yes. Without an Alexa or Google Home device, these lamps are controllable with the Sylvania Bluetooth App.
