Q: Looks good, it really adds decor?

It looks good, but I bought it mainly because it looked like it worked. I needed something that actually allowed me to fill my sink without leaking. The fact that it looks better than the average drain plug is just a bonus. It works for me.

Q: Is the color really "brushed nickel" and not shiny "stainless steel?

The stopper does have a shine to it - I have stainless steel appliances but I have a brushed nickel faucet where the stopper is used personally I can’t tell the difference- however I purchased this item based on the description for its function and it did not disappoint- best I’ve had - suctions perfect and easy to clean!

Q: Does the stopper require removing it completely when wanting to drain the water from the sink or can it stay in place?
