It is heavy duty cotton canvas and appears to be very high quality fabric. The tabs on the trim are plastic. I was confused by the similar appearance and description of this 19.99 apron to another apron on desertcart, also Afun, photo identical, but price $5.00 less. I queried and rufus answer was not helpful in distinguishing any difference in the aprons. I decided to also order the less expensive apron to do my own comparison. What I found is that the $19.99 version is much thicker and heavier than the $14.99 version. So my advice would be: If you intend to use the apron as protection when grilling or occupational use, get this version. If its only for casual cooking, the thinner one could be adequately protective of stains on clothes, while feeling lighter and cooler.
