Stymies creativity
Finding I am not a fan of grayscale coloring books. The pics look okay when done, but it infers I can't shade on my own, and totally cuts my creativity. I look at it as a black and white photo, and can't seem to imagine it in color. Prefer regular pics to color. Regret the purchase.

The quality of the images and the paper are not very good. There is too much contrast on some of the images, with no shading in large areas and others.have a very dark blob with no definition. Paper itself is thinner and stiff..

Not wild about the grays for colored pencil but did have some success with pastel chalks.

I feel like I've bought a book of bad photocopying
I feel like I've bought a book of bad photocopying. Literally every second page has a line going through it where the picture is fainter than the rest, plus some less obvious lines. It's exactly every second page so I suspect it's some printing issue. I haven't tried colouring yet, but the paper is thinner than the other books I bought at the same time. I'm hoping the fainter areas will be disguised by the colouring but I suspect it will show through. I was happy with the range of pictures but not with the overall quality. Definitely won't be buying from that brand again.

Lovely! Take me away to the sunshine now!
Great if you're starting out on greyscale although I find with this particular book that the blurry background parts of the picture when coloured do not look like they're part of your image and look very basic and childlike because they do not have the 3d realness of the rest of the image. For reference most of the images can be found on Google if you type in the main things in the picture ie pineapple towel sunglasses brings up the first image in the book exactly as it is in the book which helps with shade. With these books do not press hard over the grey because you lose the texture of what you're colouring and the texture is what makes the end result look stunning. You do not need to colour especially well with these books, even circling fills it in as needed. I was going to upload pics but can't get it to work from my phone. This book is lovely if you're having that "trapped in the gloomy grey wintery uk" feeling as takes you to sunnier climes for a bit of relief. All in all a great buy but you'll use a few pages to test it if it's your first greyscale book
