LEATHERMAN, Rebar Multitool with Premium Replaceable Wire Cutters and Saw, Black with MOLLE Sheath (FFP)

After Inauguration Day clean up, I feel the need (and finally remembered) to review the LEATHERMAN: Rebar.This tool originally quickly took a top spot as an everyday carry tool. EDC to the point that I bought a second one the day after I forgot to take it to work one day. I didn’t want to need to remember to move it from one pair of pants to the other. I have used one of these two Rebars almost every single day since I bought them. I re-blacked the pictured one about a year ago, but otherwise neither shows any major wear and tear from use. Finally today after cutting unknown hundreds of heavy duty zip-ties from crowd control barricades I remembered to take a picture of my most used tool and write a little review.In regards to other reviews showing broken tools and being unsatisfied with quality: it’s not a hammer... it’s not a wrench. Stop torquing it wrong and it will last for years.

Another winner from the Leatherman Tool Group. Those familiar with the Leatherman Surge may be interested to hear the Rebar is like a baby Surge. It retains much of the Surge's tool set in a more compact size. Just as solid and well made I bought this as a gift for my buddy to carry while on his bike without it taking up more space in his backpack.

I’ve had this multi tool for just about 2 years and I’ve put this thing through the ringer. Tough, durable, compact, this guy has really held up from daily use and some use that it isn’t exactly designed for.Figured I’d give my compliments and let anyone who is interested that 2 years later I still love this thing. Unfortunately it’s time to retire it, but I got my money’s worth and then some.(Still works great but I used the pliers to pry on something and the tip of the plier broke off)

I love this Leatherman, its extremely sturdy, no wiggles. It has a strong locking mechanism. It will be a great gift to all who likes tools and or knives.

We bought this as a gift for our 17 year old because his Dad already has 2 and loves them. We wanted to get him something more "rugged" than a Swiss army knife and this definitely fit the ticket. We love the quality of the Leatherman brand.

My second Leatherman product, this is replacing my 12 year old Wave which was lost on a work site. The knife blades on the Rebar are a little shorter than on the Wave, but they are plenty long enough for the uses I put it through. I like the new locking mechanisms that are incorporated into Rebar - very intuitive to use and tools lock solidly into place.Be aware if you've never used a blackened tool like this, one of the first things you'll want to do when you get it is to wipe down every bit of it with a soft cloth, otherwise you'll end up with black-dusted fingertips. It only takes a few minutes, and it gives you a chance to examine and learn all the bits of your new tool.

This thing is a beast, take it with me to work every day. Very sharp, very Sturdy, well crafted all around. Comes in handy when I need it most. Also an EDC of mine! Take care of it and it will take care of you.👍🏽

Best brand of multi tool without question and the very best model in my opinion. Size is similar to the original, and the tool selection is exactly what you need. I'm a state park superintendent and use this for absolutely everything! Law enforcement, search and rescue, repairs around the office and home. You name it and $20 says I can do it with this one. In the photo below I used the searaded blade to make a VERY clean cut on this rug to remove the corner my dog chewed on, and put on a glue/duct tape patch.
