Keep trying.
You obviously won't get this on the first try, so don't rate this product based on the. However, in my picture is the 2nd attempt - which really isn't bad! I recommend searching on YouTube for instructions - I had no idea you had to kinda flip this at first. But it really does do what it says! Great buy for under $10 & you get 3! I can see getting used to this pretty quick. My hair is shoulder length, mega thick and very temperamental. These still get the job done :)

Ineffective
It is honestly easier to learn how to French or dutch braid than it is to use these things. If you do not have frizzy, kinky, curly, or otherwise textured hair, it is not going to stay without clips. It's also inconvenient and difficult to learn how to use, even with written and video instructions from multiple people. I may not be able to braid my own hair, but I'll skip these next time.

Don’t buy
No good. Don’t buy. They didn’t work and I have not been able to use them.

Dont buy.
While the video makes it look so easy, it's very difficult for one person to use. Operating blind, I could not get the strands of hair on the back of my head into the apparatus smoothly.

It should come with a dvd because I always end up with the end sticking out and I have to pin some hair over it. Its not too bad I can do one over the top of my head and it "almost" looks like a braid but it really need better instructions. Its hard to do it by yourself but I do use it. Keep having to take it out, its not that easy.

This was ridiculously difficult, I gave it the old collge try. Again and again...and again. Then looked up how to french braid for beginners on YouTube and did it myself in about 5-10 minutes. Learned other braids too. I tossed that plastic garbage. Sorry for my bluntness but I am just giving my own personal experience.

Meh. Good idea, not as functional as expected.
Husband couldn’t figure out how to work these even watching YouTube videos. I can’t see the back of my head to try. My husband is very talented at figuring stuff out, so I’m thinking they aren’t that great.

No way
My hair got all tangled up when I tried to use these multiple times. I finally threw them away
