Detailed, elaborate, and beautiful!
This book is so detailed and visual which is ideal when learning or expanding on crochet skills. I am at an intermediate level and I am very excited to learn these beautiful and unique stitches! I cannot wait to use the tactile stitches for brand new creations! Also, in person the book is even more beautiful. The cover has a beautiful soft pink tone on the spine of the book and the texture of the book is smooth and almost soft to the touch! Perfect gift for the holidays!

Few projects mostly good for inspiration. Not ideal for beginners.
The book is divided into an introduction section of some basic textured crochet stitches then into seasons. Within each chapter is a single project featuring one of the stitches within the chapter. There is a very brief section (3 pages) on getting started that discusses yarn colors, gauge, blocking, a little bit about crochet hook materials specifically, ones the author uses and why she likes them. There isn't anything to show you basic crochet like foundation chaining, single crochet, double crochet etc. A small abbreviations box is with each stitch and project shown that includes some guidance for the new crocheter.I wish I knew the list of stitches in this book before I bought it because many I knew already. So if you are thinking of this book, here's the stitches in this book:-Bobble-Popcorn-Cluster (using single, double and treble crochet)-Puff-Shell-Picot-Tulip-Embossed-Lilac-Branches and vines-Butterfly-Cable (one for each season)-Crab-Ice cream cone-Lemon peel-Strawberry-Shell-Rose-Diamond waffle-Modified puff-Acorn-Berry-Jasmine-Basketweave-Loose leaves-Houndstooth-Coffee cup-2x2 rib-Spike puff-Waffle-Feather-Embossed holly-SnowflakeA number of reviewers say there are not enough projects in the book and I would agree with them; for all the stitches in the book there are only 5 projects:-Emmy's Pillow-Joanie Shawl-Tanya Ice-Cream Tote-Carla Fall Cowl-Aurora Frosted BeanieWhilst the projects are lovely, this book is not for a beginner. You need to have a good understanding of reading a crochet pattern and know basic crochet terms to make any of these. There are pictures for the stitches and some for the projects but not enough step by step that an eager new or beginner crocheter would be able to follow. This book however is good for an advanced or experienced crocheter. If you are like me, it is great for providing ideas for projects. You could use these stitches to made an adorable sampler throw, tea cozy, pot holder, hats, scarves, shawls, or sweaters but you would need to understand how to create the pattern to fit the stitch design. The inspiration I get from looking through this book to deaign my own projects is really the only reason that I'm not sending it back for a refund. What would I change?-Have practical projects that go with every stitch.-More step by step photos for beginners.Would I buy it again? No. If I had bought this as a beginner I would have spent more time looking for videos of how to crochet the stitch rather than using the book.

Excellent
Several patterns to choose from. Coco Crochet Lee (Lee Sartori) put a lot of work into this book and it shows. I have had fun making these patterns. I definitely recommend this book.

Wonderful book
Absolutely love this book of crochet stitches! I love how it's broken down into stitches for each of the seasons too.

It's all about the photos, but not the directions.
Very pretty well made book with quality glossy paper. The photos of each stitch is wonderful, but the directions are printed in small font, and not enough information on how to complete each stitch.. You should be skilled at crocheting before buying this book; definitely not for anyone new to this craft. (The book has ample space for detailed instructions, and I wish the author would had utilized the blank space.)

Mixed feelings
The stitch patterns range from the common to the not-so-coomon, pretty to ugly, useful to non useful, beginner friendly to expert. The patterns (or lack of) were a huge disappointment.

Brilliant modern crochet book that takes this craft to another level.
This book which has become one of my favourites. Lee Sartori has produced a lovely well thought out book with wonderful photos, plenty of information charts and written patterns to suit all. Lovely variety of pattern textures squares to make. This book is worth every penny. Love it.

Nothing modern about it
I was expecting some fresh new ideas and exciting stitches. Unfortunately most of the stitches shown are old hat, and I can find them all in a 1930s book in my personal library. The projects are fairly ho-hum too, although in fairness, clear instructions are given for working with multiple colours in a row which is the only reason I don't begrudge the one star. If you're a beginner this might be okay.Needless to say I returned this one.

Lovely book with great photos and clear instructions
Lovely book with great photos and clear instructions whether written or in chart form. I'm going to stash bust and make each pattern into squares for a blanket!

Gorgeous book!
There are really few crochet books that stop my breath, but this one did. The book is well written, charted, and I love the idea of dividing the stitches in 4 seasons related, so clever. The crochet stitches are presented in a very interesting, new way; some of them I have not known even. The book is beautiful by itself, and really has a great content, I highly recommend it!
