excellent for tempering chocolate!
Easy to use. Accurate thermometer ( you can check it against the indoor temperature of your room). It quickly and accurately reads temperature change. The built in spoon rest is great. Cleaning is a snap as it slides apart with ease. You do have to read directions to change it to Farenheit, very easy and straightforward. I will buy 2 more for my daughters to use.

Love it but ...
Wish it was waterproof as I keep accidentally putting in the sink. After all, it does look like a spatula

poor design
I used this when melting Chocolate , it ok as a therometer. But when I would use it as a spatula the battery cover would pop off and the battery would go in the chocolate, not good poor design.

Not so ergonomic
I might be a little picky but this just didn't fit right in my hand. I didn't pay too much attention to the thermometer as I tested it.

Can't calibrate it
In the trash. I can't calibrate it, and I don't want a product where I have to remember how many degrees to add to the reading. I bought it because it is a Mastrad brand. I love their spatula's, but this is obviously a from a manufacturer whom they are letting use their name.
