Satisfied customer
My husband loves making poached eggs. It fits well into our fry pan with cover and was easy to use. I like that it doesnโt take up a lot of space as I do not need more appliances, that take up precious cabinet space. We have only used once but we were happy with the outcome. My husband enjoys soft and runny and I like my eggs more done. This poacher cooked eggs to everyoneโs preference.

Sturdy poacher! Happy with the purchase!
This poacher works great. The non-stick finish works well. I like the ease of the center handle to lift the poacher out of the pan.

Great eggs! Some minor other stuff.
First of all, we have used this poacher about 5 or 6 times and I really like the eggs. I also like that I can use Jumbo eggs if I like, but I would recommend Extra Large or smaller to make things a bit easier. So first of all, I was replacing a very similar (much older) product fashioned from stainless steel. Loved the eggs but they stuck and the little cups were a pain to clean. No amount of margarine or cooking spray would eliminate the sticking. So what I really went looking for was a non-stick version of the same, 4 individually removable cups. I had to wrap my head around the all-one-piece approach of this poacher, but decided for $8 I could give it a try. Like I said, I love the eggs. I like the white completely done but the yolks runny. If I wait until the water is about to boil before lowering in the eggs, I can achieve that. Of course if you want the entire egg cooked hard, that should just be a matter of more time in the pan. I have used cooking spray every time I have used this and the eggs do not even think about sticking. Clean-up is extremely easy by hand. We even ran it through the dishwasher with no ill effects. A note on the cooking spray - I love olive oil so I bought the olive oil Pam. I think it's a bit too strong for the delicate egg flavor and would recommend butter flavor. Removing the eggs is pretty simple. I use a large (larger than tablespoon) spoon to scoop them out and drop them in a bowl or on toast. Some of the minor issues I have had: ** Wasn't thrilled with the complete lack of info from the manufacturer regarding materials & care instructions. ** As mentioned in other reviews, the poacher is kind of shallow. You want to make sure you start with enough water such that you do not run out but not so much that it runs over the top of the poacher. Simple enough to test the water depth with the poacher before you put the eggs in it. Some water will still gather on top of the poacher and the eggs, but normal poached eggs are completely submerged anyway. ** If you make less than 4 eggs, the empty cups will fill up with water. If you lift the entire poacher out to slide your eggs onto a slice of toast, be careful not to dump a cup full of water as well. ** There was a very slight metallic taste to the eggs the very first time we used it. If that's a big turn-off, you could cook 4 throw-away eggs as the first batch. Have not noticed anything since. Lastly, someone else recommended cooking in a pan with a glass top. I have been doing that and it's nice to see the progress, but I still fing I shake the pan side-to-side a bit to see if the whites are cooked.

Eggs guaranteed to stick to this egg poacher every time.
This 4-egg poacher plate is completely worthless. It is impossible to keep eggs from sticking to this poaching plate. This is a inexpensive item, but worthless. You might as well simply throw money in the trash because that's where this item belongs.
