Review: Holds My Door Hangar Perfectly - I had bought a decorative door hangar, but it is so light, the dowel at the top kept banging & scraping my door in the wind. I was trying to think of how to attach it to the door without it moving like that, & thought of Velcro. However, I figured the regular Velcro adhesive would take the paint off the door. I didn't even know Velcro made these HANGables, but when I saw this one, I thought it might work, & it also wouldn't damage the paint on my door. Oh my gosh, it is absolutely perfect! It did EXACTLY what I wanted it to! The door hangar does not move on the door, even with a ton of wind, & the dowel no longer scrapes on the door.

The adhesive is not only weak, the hook and loop (velcro) sticks together better than the adhesive does. I'm not sure what application is best for these. Maybe securing spices in a spice rack? Even still, the adhesive peels off the product you're trying to secure anyway when you pick up on it.

I had bought a decorative door hangar, but it is so light, the dowel at the top kept banging & scraping my door in the wind. I was trying to think of how to attach it to the door without it moving like that, & thought of Velcro. However, I figured the regular Velcro adhesive would take the paint off the door. I didn't even know Velcro made these HANGables, but when I saw this one, I thought it might work, & it also wouldn't damage the paint on my door. Oh my gosh, it is absolutely perfect! It did EXACTLY what I wanted it to! The door hangar does not move on the door, even with a ton of wind, & the dowel no longer scrapes on the door.

What a horrible product. If you're looking for something to stay in place on a flat level surface, look elsewhere. The adhesive is not only weak, the hook and loop (velcro) sticks together better than the adhesive does. I'm not sure what application is best for these. Maybe securing spices in a spice rack? Let me start by saying, I try to do as much of the household things as I possibly can so my husband doesn't have to on his days off. So anything that makes it easier for me to do by myself I love to try. When I saw these I was super excited that there was a product I could use without help and without damaging the walls if I messed up. These hangables Velcro patches are really cool but fell a little short for me. I followed the instructions and everything went great except one of the velcro patches would not stick to the wall. I cleaned it prior to hanging and allowed plenty of dry time but still no dice. I guess one of the adhesives just wasn't going to stick no matter what. Oh well, I replaced it with another and it worked just fine. All that being said, I would definitely buy this again as it's really handy and easy to use! I've only tried them on decor that's super lightweight since these are only good for up to 4.4 pounds, so if your looking for heavy duty hanging hardware, this isn't it.
