In Hungry Animals , children are presented with a series of bright and funny wild animals , each with their mouth wide open (a v-fold pop-up), eagerly awaiting a tasty treat. The child can choose a 'dangly' food item (hanging from the spine of the book) to feed to each animal. The hungry giraffe might want to munch on a crisp, green leaf but wouldn't it be funny to give her monkey's tasty banana instead? What would monkey say about that? This delightful series of pre-school books encourages young children to engage with the book and converse with the parent or carer, form connections between the animal characters and what they like to eat, and to practice hand-eye coordination through play. Great fun for littles!
My 2 year old has been super into these books for about a year. She loves to feed the animals, and loves when I make them tell her "thank you for feeding me!" It is a fun and interactive book, but definitely requires supervision. We had one casualty and had to buy another. :)

Fun interactive book for toddlers
This book is the newest obsession in our household: the feeding frenzy with this adorable animal-themed book! My 15-month-old is absolutely captivated by the magic of making it look like the animals are chomping down on their food as we turn the pages. It's pure toddler delight! The little pocket on the back cover that holds the food pieces in place. It's a lifesaver for keeping everything organized... until my little one's impatience gets the best of her and she goes on a tugging spree, resulting in a slight rip. But fear not, a little tape saved the day! :P (One thing I'd advise for future books in this series: reinforcing that pocket before little fingers start their mischief.) My toddler's joy knows no bounds as she gleefully stuffs food into each animal's mouth without a care for which critter gets what. When she's a bit older, we'll be adding a new level of excitement to our reading sessions as she starts to guess which food goes to which animal.

Cute & Interactive (supervise younger kiddos)
My daughter loves this book. She’s 18 months now but she probably got interested in it at around 16 months. It’s cute, short & interactive. That being said, I wouldn’t let littles under 2.5 play with it without supervision as she’s already destroyed her first one (ripped the back page where the food goes into for storage & the mouths of some of the animals). Bought her a second one & will be giving to her when she’s a bit older so it’s less likely to be ripped apart.

Perfect speech therapy book
Wonderful book for ages 3-8! They can practice feeding animals, labeling, open & closing the mouth and making animal noises.

Adorable book for kids!!!
My daughter loves it! And she is 1.5 years old. Easy to flip pages, the pop up mouths are so entertaining and my dauther loves feeding the animals! I totally recommend 😊

Super fun book!
This book is a favourite for all of my kids, ages 1 through 6. They love feeding the animals & making the mouths flap open & closed. They think it’s hilarious to feed the animals the “wrong” foods! It’s sturdy enough but they did love it to death over the course of the years so I am repurchasing because it really is that beloved. I think this would be a great gift from ages 1-5.
