A must have in colder environments. These serve two purposes. Keep your hands warmer while carrying your tripod, and providing a bit of cushioning while carrying the big glass on your shoulder. They secure fairly well. Could be improved but workable nonetheless. They will not fall off or slip off endangering your gear, not to worry.

Only recommended for the tripod advertised, not for other comparable tripods as LensCoat website suggests
Love LensCoat products. These tripod legs may fit the Gitzo tripod advertised well, but did not fit my Sirui tripod.I tried doing a search on the LensCoat website beforehand, which recommended this model for my Sirui W2204 tripod but unfortunately it did not. I was able to customize some pipe insulation with 1.5" OD in order to get it working.Works well so far otherwise!

Easy to install: I followed the instruction, it only took me about half an hour to install and looks very nice.One thing to notice is it adds up some additional weight to your gears.

Would I buy them again?
Makes tripod more comfortable to carry over shoulder but seemed to be over-priced in my opinion considering what one gets.
