(Mostly) perfect for my one year old
Got these crayons for little man. He just turned one and I'm trying to teach him how to color, even though he's still insistent that crayons are for eating. I get to do most of the actual coloring and I love the vibrancy of these crayons! They also smell so pleasant that they are a pleasure to use. Honestly, I'm not super into the organic lifestyle although I do buy organic when and where I can so it's a nice bonus to find crayons like these. These crayons put my mind at ease, for sure, especially when little dude decides to think of them as honey candy sticks. I thought they would be a bit longer but it turns out that they are just the right size for him, not the right size for mommy :( I'm going to have to get a set of the thin ones for myself and by golly, I will! That's how much I like them. I've really never seen such vibrant colors. If you look at the page in the pictures you will see that some areas are a dull color and some are a rich color. The areas shaded in rich colors are the ones with the honeysticks and the areas colored less brightly are colored with regular crayons. Maybe it's just me and my over-excitement about these crayons but I'm pretty sure there is a difference. They are a bit pricey but ultimately worth it because so far it's kind of impossible to break them, which makes them totally worth their price. You only need to buy one set. Unless you're like me and you're going to buy a second set for yourself, that is... Do they make these for actual adults? I found that coloring is therapeutic... just not when you are sharing your art space with a one year old who doesn't like to share his crayons and keeps trying to eat the very one you are coloring with.

Great crayons for toddlers
My toddler is just getting interested in scribbling and these are perfect for her small strong hands. I love that they are non toxic, made of beeswax and food grade color.

The best toddler crayons!
I love these! I bought these crayons when my daughter was around 18 months old so that I could introduce coloring to her. I really liked that these crayons were made from beeswax in case she tried to put them in her mouth, as most toddlers try to put everything in their mouthes. I did not expect these to smell so GOOD! Lol. I should have known that they would smell sweet like honey, given that they are made from beeswax, but it was a pleasant bonus. They color well! I really like that they are thick and short, which makes them great for introducing them to younger toddlers. I am giving them 4/10 because while they are suitable for an easy grip of use, they are also very flat and wide at the bottom, and my daughter would only try to stand them up like blocks every time I tried to get her to color for the longest time. She has had them for about a year now, and they have held up great. She does use them correctly now (most of the time.. LOL!). Also, I do wish that the product was a little more affordable since you only get 10 in a package, and they are short. However, I believe they come from Australia (?) and I understand why they cost more than standard crayons. I think the price is worth it for added safety — from a toddler mom’s perspective.

Solid purchase, wouldn’t recommend at 12 months
They color great! And the smell is quite nice. I probably should’ve paid attention to the size of these before purchasing though My baby is about 2 weeks away from being 1 and I figured these would be a fun thing to start trying out… she however still puts everything in her mouth as a baby does. The size is a little worrisome for a choking hazard, I would supervise her while using… but life happens and distractions come, even simple things as turning your head to talk to someone for a moment. So I’m going to buy some of the super jumbo sized ones for now until she’s less likely to try and eat the crayon. They are the perfect size for little hands though!

Great starter crayons
So far so good! My little girl is only a year so I chose these because they seemed like a safe first choice! Pros: -I love that they are made with food grade pigment! My daughter already tried chewing on them and I didn't have to worry about toxic dyes -The size is easy for babies to hold onto and grab, they are durable enough to withstand a little bit of chewing too Con: -This likely is not problematic for older kids, but my daughter wasn't pushing hard enough so the color did not transfer well onto the paper. -It was a bit harder to tell which color was which for a few because the crayons are a bit darker than they appear on paper Overall, they feel okay and for me the real selling point was not having to worry if my daughter tried chewing on them. Cons are such small issues that I still gladly give these 5 stars

Perfect for Babies and Toddlers
I purchased these for my daughter when she was 13 months old, and she loves them! They're easy for her to grip, and the colors are very pretty. They smell nice, and it gives me peace of mind to know they're made with natural, kid-safe ingredients. I always watch her to make sure she doesn't put them in her mouth, but it's comforting to know they're non-toxic if she ever does try to take a bite. The box they come in is compact enough to easily toss into her diaper bag and take to-go. Highly recommend!

Underwhelming
I bought these for a 15 month old toddler just learning to scribble. He still tends to want to put everything in his mouth. Regular crayons are not going to hold up to his kind of oral scrutiny. With these being thicker and chunky, I thought they would be more difficult for him to take a bite out of or break. It was also attractive that they’re advertised as natural food safe materials, in case he does. Out of the box, they do seem like they will be extra sturdy and stand up to snapping, but my son already managed to bite the tip off of one crayon. Another downside is my dog thinks they’re treats and will try to eat them if my toddler leaves them on the floor. As you can see from my photo, there is the size comparison between Crayola Jumbo Crayons, Cra-Z-Art Jumbo Crayons, and Honeysticks beeswax crayons. Despite all of the product photos, clearly showing the size of the crayons in infant and toddler hands, I don’t know why I still expected these to be bigger. When I took the box out of the package, I was disappointed and underwhelmed that this tiny box cost me $22. I just thought they’d be a little larger. Not a lot, just a little bit. As far as coloring with these goes, they are nothing special. They’re waxier than the average Crayola crayon, duh. They have a grayish waxy sheen/coating all over them, unlike the crayons in the product photos. You kind of have to get them started, eroding that coating off the tip before you get much color. Still, you have to press fairly hard with these to get good, vivid color from them, otherwise it’s so faint. Out of the three brands we’ve tried, I think Crayola Jumbo Crayons take the cake. And I definitely feel like I paid too much for these Honeysticks.

Great for peace of mind
Great for peace of mind. Had a friend whose kid got lead poisoning from eating too many crayons (when the kid was a toddler), so I gladly spent extra for my toddler's safety and my peace of mind. The colors work fine, but are not exceptionally vibrant (which is normal with more natural products), and the colors don't transfer too easily, but still work fine. The size is PERFECT for my toddler's tiny hands and the width makes it easy for her to grasp. They are hard to break. My toddler has chucked them on the floor numerous times, and none of them have broken yet.

- size is good so that it fits in the hand of the ...
As my son is growing up, I didn't want him to discover pens/pencils/crayons/colours and paint the walls. So, I bought him an easel. I was searching for crayons when I came up on a blog which listed the crayons in order based on whether they were organic plus other parameters. These were at the top of the list. I just grabbed them. Pros: - size is good so that it fits in the hand of the kid. - they are organic - colours a little light. - good number of colours Cons: - scent is a bit strong - price, I am sure there will be others at a price less than these. I just couldn't find them :) Summary: I splurged because this was the first time my son handled crayons, and I was not sure if he was not going to put it in his mouth. He did eventually, but I could rest easy knowing they were organic. Will I buy them again? I am not sure because of the price.

Great for little hands
These crayons are a bit pricey and more than I would normally spend on crayons - but it's worth it to know that my little one isn't going to chew on some horrible toxic material while playing. They smell delicious and the colours are great. A super size for little hands.
